We spent three nights at the Magellan Inn in late December. While we would agree that the gardens and landscaping are beautiful and peaceful, there are some drawbacks including: price (not good value for $); mildewey carpets in the room; very cool reception from the manager; and location (it's more than a walk into town). more

For the second time this year, I spent the week-end at the Magellan Inn, I really can't get enough of this wonderful place. The peaceful gardens are the best. My kid had a great time with the owner's animals : dog, parrots, rabbit and horses, he could even feed the parrots with his hands and was so happy about that.... more

We stayed at the Magellan for two nights in Febuary. For the Cahuita area, I think that the hotel is a quite a good choice for the price. Rooms are OK , beds are comfortable, there was AC in our room (rare in that area) and the pool was refreshing. The caribean are is quite humid, so the AC helped... more
