Our family of five stayed here two nights. We stayed in the bungalows not the lodge rooms. These were up a long path from the lodge.they were comfortable but rustic adequate for a nature experience. Food here was good with no issues served buffet style. The guided nature tours were excellent.

Simple lodging in elevated structure with covered walkways to protect from rain-forest rain. Cafeteria style eating of average food. The bar tender is the best I saw in Costa Rica with a well-stocked bar. WiFi available only in central area. No A/C but we didn't need it during our early March visit. One doesn't come here for luxury but for... More

We spent 3 nights here at the start of our trip to Costa Rica and it's an interesting place. Our room was very clean and comfortable (and big) with 2 double & a single bed for the 3 of us. The lodge owns many acres of rainforest jungle and you can walk around lots of it looking for many varieties... More

This is a jungle lodge by the Sarapiqui river. The nature is the reason to come here! We saw green macaws, blue jeans frogs, toucans, and lots lots more wildlife. The lodge itself provides naturalist guides for the excursions and everyone is very passionate about conservation. We stayed in a bungalow across the road, it was simple accommodation with not... We spent two days at Selva Verde Lodge. The accommodations were clean. The food service was good. We enjoyed the fresh coffee and tropical fruits especially the pineapple. The rooms were adequate, ckean and the beds firm and comfortable. I like a hit shower but the water was warm. Other that I woukd recommended this place to get a real... More

We stayed for just one night, between another lodge and the airport. Our room was OK, but a bit noisy with other guests walking past on the raised wooden walkway mentioned by others. We could also hear the continuous traffic on the very busy main road. Our meals were included in the buffet restaurant and were OK. However, we were... More

The lodge is located on a 500 acre private retreat nestled in a rain forest. Some distance from the main dining & gathering area, our rooms were in clusters on raised platforms accessible via raised & covered walkways. Our rooms were airy & large but lacked a dresser for unpacking cloths. The surrounding areas gave opportunity to appreciate the wildlife.... More

This is the type of facility that caters to large tour buses on all inclusive prepaid meal programs. My wife and I stayed for one night as a stopover during a long road trip. As we checked in, an employee watched as we unloaded very heavy luggage onto a cart we rustled up from a back room. We then pushed... More

The wildlife we saw at Selva Verde was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the hammock on our porch. The lunches were terribly bland but the dinners were OK at the downstairs restaurant. The staff were very helpful. They arranged all our tours. When our shuttle bus was two... More

As nature lovers, we absolutely loved this lodge. We stayed in the bungalows across the road from the main area. They were a bit remote, but we liked that. The sleeping area and bathroom were both spacious and comfortable. We appreciated the AC and the covered walkways that connected the bungalows to the rest of the amenities. We went on... More
