we stayed here our last night in costa rica. the rooms are excellent but the hotel is small with one tiny bar/resturant, no pool, and far from any attractions or shopping. very clean and service good. a nice place overall but not an "adventure" . no outside areas to hang out and one tiny hot tub inside in a lobby... Our website, up until early December, indicated our guests had free admission to a nearby water theme park. Unfortunately the park abruptly ceased to operate, so to honor our earlier promises, we now pay guest's admission to a another water theme park called Ojo de Agua, plus the taxi both ways. Fortunately our new 87 sq. meter solar-heated infinity pool,... More

For families first arriving into San Jose, CR, the Adventure Inn is a smart pick...we arrived on an afternoon flight, tired after a long day of traveling and were not really prepared to drive another 3 hours to our final destination. We decided an overnite stay would be the best choice and head out fresh in the morning....it was a... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Adventure Inn on a recent trip to Costa Rica. The hotel was not up to Motel 6 standards by any means. We stayed in two rooms that both smelled, (another family member member traveling with us stayed in a separate room, complained of the smell as well). The second problem is that the room... More

These guests are correct, and we are getting to the bottom of the complaint about the rude staff, which will not be tolerated, as you can see from nearly all of the other reviews. Regarding the hot water, yes, we have an excellent supply of hot water, however, a few of our taps were installed by professional plumbers with hot... More

My room was beautiful and clean, complete with a coffee-maker, TV, clock, and hair-dryer; the staff was helpful (and bi-lingual); and it was great to have access to a computer with speedy Internet access and a free taxi to the airport. Adventure Inn would be a great hub from which to make day trips -- which the staff will help... More

We concluded a 7 day self-drive package tour in San Jose with 5 extra days to do as we pleased. We knew from experience that SanJose makes a good base for day trips which can explore much of Costa Rica. We found the Adventure Inn on the web. The rooms are large and comfortable. The location is a little out... More

We stayed at Adventure Inn on our first and last nights in Costa Rica, due to its proximity to both airports and price. What a surprise to find that our "stopover hotel" would be such a quaint, wonderful place! The staff is attentive without being intrusive, the food was wonderful, and the hotel was spotless. They even pay one way... More

We stayed at the Adventure Inn for our last night. It's very conveninet to the airport and the hotel called us a taxi they paid for. As we had an early flight, we could not enjoy their breakfast and they offered a discout for this. In addition, if you pay cash or travellers cheques, you get an additional discount. The... More

The Adventure-Inn is located at a very strategic location, closed to the main highway that goes from the Panama border to the one with Nicaragua. The rooms have ample space, very comfortable and clean. Excellent Costarrican style breakfast included, friendly staff and service. Overall a great place to stay at a reasonable price. I stayed here on my first and last days in Costa Rica. The hotel staff is friendly and the rooms are very comfortable/spacious. The free breakfast was great and made the stay a great value. The hotel is in a nice area, very close to the airport and within walking distance of a grocery store. So yeah, its comfortable and... More

Large rooms - high ceilings. Clean. Free WiFi. Staff aims to please and friendly. No elevator to second floor but bellman will take your bags. Slightly uncomfortable with opaque window in shower. Hairdryer, bidet, toilettries in bathroom. Small tickets for breakfast given at checkin. Small enough to misplace. Early checkout gets you a breakfast to go, if you request. Alarm... More
