This is a nice, elegant hotel within 10 minutes of San Jose International Airport (but they do not provide transportation - taxi cabs are $14 and plentiful) and half hour to most known business parks and International company locations. There are two nice restaurants on premise - one a Spanish Tapas place (called La Isabella) and a Costa Rican/Carribean restaurant... More

As previous reviews, this is a beautiful hotel, in an industrial zone, period. Close to a number of old factories and developing high tech industries. The hotels facilities are excellent for meetings, conventions and personal celebrations (2-3 weddings on weekends). Sleep quality ok, except at after parties activities (they go wild). Food quality excellent. It has a golf couse average.

This is a lovely hotel, ideally positioned for transiting to and from the airport (we used it as the last night before flying home). However we expected much more from a hotel chain of this class and the money we were paying.

This is a beautiful hotel in an area that is not so pretty. If you judge this hotel only by it's ambiance, I would give it a high rating considering we were only using it for 1 night before an early morning flight. Unfortunately there were problems: 1. There were ants all over the bottom of the patio door, but... More

As the other reviews say, this area is not far from the airport. After staying much farther inland at another Marriott, we stay at San Jose for a night so we wouldn't have to travel too much before we hit the airport. Parts of the downtown area you have to pass through are questionable areas and we passed some um... More

If you are flying in to San Jose, and need a nice hotel to spend one night coming into the country, and maybe one night before you leave, then this hotel is perfect. It's about 5 - 10 minutes from the airport, and very accessible. We stayed 2 nights, on our way in, and then the night before we flew... More

The hotel is not really downtown, but it is few minutes from the airport. The service is great, very nice staff, always ready to help even in emergency situations. The structure is beautiful, peaceful environment, extremely nice pool area and little park where you can have a short walk. My bedroom was spacious, nice bathroom, well cleaned. Breakfast is good... We stayed here on our way and out of Costa Rica. it is not far from the airport and was very pleasant for the night. My kids loved the nice pool and hot tub, my husband and I liked the well-equiped fitness center, and everyone enjoyed the fabulous breakfast buffet. Wifi is free in the restaurant area. We would stay... More

We spent one night only after arriving at 9 pm from the states. Beautiful property, like an old palace. Rooms were fairly standard Marriott but with nice Costa Rican decor and plenty of space. Food was very good. Late-night tapas were interesting and filling; alas no wine because of Good Friday holiday! We ate breakfast in the executive lounge and... More
