It is conveniently located close to the airport, and by calling a day ahead we were able to get a hotel shuttle to pick us up for only $8. My husband and I stayed here on our way in and out of San Jose. Helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and nice pool area. Great open-air lobby. Convenient 10-minute ride to the international airport--$8 per room for a shuttle (starts 5 am) and $12 cab ride.

Our first night's stay in CR was in San Jose at the Cariari Doubletree Hilton and we felt very welcomed. The rooms are very nice and spacious! Although we didn't use the pool area, it is beautiful and the staff is very accomodating; they helped us with ATMs and with transportation to our next destination in CR.

Breezy open air hotel. Pool nice but cold, they need to heat it. Room bed was comfortable. Bathroom not fancy but does just fine. Restaurant was nice. Casino was a surprise, small but if you're into that it'd be alright. Good overall.
