We recently spent the last two nights of a 15 day trip to Costa Rica at the Hotel Chalet Tirol. What a wonderful end to our trip. Were we at the same place as the previous poster? We thought this place was great. A beautiful location in the cloud forest with cool mountain air,gorgeous flowers, cute alpine chalets. One word of warning--Costa Rica is too beautiful and there is so much to see and do. Don't spend any of your precious time at Hotel Chalet Tirol-- This hotel has a very strange feel to it--the food is mediocre, the rooms are moldy and dark and in disrepair.
