My girlfriend and I went to Tamarindo with the idea of spending only a couple of days at Arco Iris before moving to other hotels on nearby beaches. However, after only a couple of nights at Arco, we decided to stay for the remainder of our vacation. The wonderful staff, headed by the wonderful owner Richard, is always available to... More

Richard, the owner, helped check us in and even gave us his parking spot for our car. The room was nice, although I could never manage to open the shampoo packets provided. Breakfast was gallo pinto, fruits, a cereal, and omelets made by Coco (who is very nice). The grounds are a bit cramped, but I think that's the case... More

They were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. They also stored our luggage for us while we went on a sailfish excursion (we were leaving later that day). The rooms and grounds were nice. My kids especially liked the big iguana they found outside our room. They were also a short walk to town.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Arco Iris! The restaurant (Seasons by Shlomy) was wonderful- one of our favorite meals in Costa Rica! The hotel room was very nice and exceptionally clean! The staff was warm and friendly. We were also so excited to experience the wildlife at the hotel- frogs, iguanas, and howler monkeys!!

You leave the dirty street and enter the nice, clean, calm atmosphere of Hotel Arco Iris. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean, and the pool area is great for kids AND for their parents. In the evenings you step out of the pool, and straight up to the Season restaurant for a tasty dinner. When we come back to... More

I rarely write reviews for hotels, but this was my first time in Costa Rica and I relied so much on people's previous experience; and now I am passing it on. First of all, Arco Iris is a quaint hotel in an excellent location. Arco is not only super clean, perfect location, affordable, but also homey. The owner made sure... More

We had a great time at this hotel. It is walking distance to everything but still very private and relaxing. Richard the owner was great. The breakfast was very good and the dinner restaurant on site had the best food in town. We even woke up to Howler monkeys one morning!

Stayed here the week of June 15th 2014. Grounds were intimate and beautiful. We did not hear the howler monkeys close by here. Short walk to the beach, and 15 minute walk to the far end of Tamarindo. Off a back dirt road, which I appreciated, as it was away from the main buzz of Tamarindo, though the road could... More

This was my husband and my first trip to Costa Rica. Gabby, Richard and Francisco are absolutely wonderful! They helped us book transportation, excursions, and anything else we needed. Richard, the owner, is so sweet and available most of the time. They truly care that you have an awesome stay. The rooms are immaculately clean, modern and perfect to stay... More

Richard, Coco and Gabby really made our stay in Tamarindo a memorable one. This boutique style hotel had an amazing charm, had vibrant, lush, and clean grounds and the rooms were very cozy and comfortable. The hotel is just a few minutes walking from the beach and is a little retreat from the hustle and bustle of the Tamarindo town.... More
