The hotel is definitely in the wrong location. To get to the hotel you have to go up a hill that only a 4x4 can reach. The rooms don't have internet and have some oriental / Indian motive mixture. The rooms seem remodeled but the roaches and bugs are not a welcomed addition. The included breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, ham, corn flakes, and papaya. Don't eat the fruit because of the bugs are constantly landing on them. The room was overpriced and is a two star hotel. It is better to have a local make the reservations for you - you will pay less. There are other hotels that are right on the beach, such as the Barcelo, Cala Luna, Diria.

Besides this, the staff is pleasant and had no issues with the check-in. The pool area is nice and the room did have a nice view of the ocean and peninsula. There is a lot of construction in the Guanacaste area. Call your hotel to see if there is construction noise from nearby projects before booking the reservation. more
