Beautiful views, great value. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Average food at the monkey bar. Included breakfast. The hotel's beach is almost non-existent during high tide. Had to walk to Flamingo Beach nearby. Not many restaurants or shopping in walking distance. If looking for something to do while staying there, sign up for the Lazy Lizard sailing afternoon. more

My husband and I who are in our fifties stayed at The Flamingo Marina Resort in Guanacaste Province Costa Rica from Feb 2nd - March 3rd. 2008. We picked this resort on the internet , WHAT A GREAT CHOICE!! The resort was beautiful, very quiet, clean, with very friendly staff. We stayed in the hotel in an apartment with a... more

We took a family vacation, 2 50ish parents and 2 early 20s; all the other comments in earlier reviews were right on target. Clean, friendly, exceptionally well maintained. Bar/restaurant overlooking bay and ocean was spectacular. Food above average, breakfasts great. Bar/restaurant staff the best anywhere. Tour desk staff Roger went out of his way to provide great help for car... more

My husband and I stayed at the Flamingo Marina resort for five nights in February. Our one bedroom accomodation was very clean and we had a gorgeous view of Flamingo bay. The ocean breeze was such that we did not need to use AC at night and we were delightfully awakened each morning by sunlight pouring through our large window... more

Our family of 4 (2 teenage daughters, 50 something parents) spent a week at the Playa Flamingo Marina Resort. I selected this hotel after much research, looking for a large apartment/condo that was close to the main objectives of the trip (sun, surfing lessons, canopy tour). For the most part, the hotel fit the bill perfectly. The 2 bedroom condo... more

I stayed for 3 nights in early Jan. 05 with a group of friends. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is a good location, but there must be better choices. One of the rooms had dirty sheets on check in and the hotel staff were very rude. I had a room with a "jacuzzi" outside, but... more

This place is a great place for families, but is rather not that accomodating for young couples, college students, or anyone looking for more excitement. The resort itself is great for anyone looking to relax. There are 4 nice pools, and its own private beach. The beach leaves something to be desired, since there are large rock formations in the... more

Using Foders 2004 Guide, we embarked on Costa Rica with adventure around every turn! We (my two teens 15 and 17, and I) rented 4 wheel drive SUV and "did it all". Our last stop prior to heading back to San Jose was the Flamingo Marina Resort. The hotel is not too close to any of the quaint towns we... more
