Just an overall great place to stay. Joey the owner is a real cool guy, very laid back surfer. My girlfriend Caitlin and I stayed for a month in Jan. Loved everything about this place, from being far enough away from the main drag, yet being close enough to walk there. Located on a hilltop over looking Tamarindo, great sunset... More

We spent 2 glorious weeks at Casa Bambora in December. Joey has a beautiful property just a few minutes walk from the beaches and center of town. The view from the 4th floor deck is unsurpassed in the area, encompassing a virtual 360 degree view with more than 15 km of coastline and ocean to the west and jungles and... More

We were looking for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the states but still close enough to town that we could go and enjoy a nice meal or a drink. Casa Bambora fit that bill perfectly. The owner, Joey, made us feel like we were coming home from a long time out on the road,... More

I must say, upon meeting Joey (the owner) in person back in December 2011, I got a great feeling about this place. His super cool and easygoing attitude made the stay even more enjoyable. Literally, he treated us like we've been friends for years. As far as the actual living conditions, my friend and I really couldn't ask for more.... More

The place is neat ! Up a little hill, 10 min from the beach and down town, here's that wonderful place to stay. Joey ( The owner) bilt it like a king. And he thought of everything from the pool to the BBQ to chill out. You have to go there. Easy going!!! Easy going BACK.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Bambora for a total of 11 nights. Our experience was so enjoyable. Joey and his concierge Sara were a great help in getting taxis and tours arranged. The room (1st floor studio) was exactly what we needed. It was clean and completely self contained. We cooked most of our meals as the restaurants... More

Thank you so much for you great review! It was great having you guys here at Casa Bambora, I really enjoyed your company and all the great barbeques. Sorry about the new king size bed being a little to firm for your liking. I have recently purchased a memory foam mattress topper so from now on my guests will have... More

Taylor and I had a blast staying at Casa Bambora. From the time we walked into the gated entrance, to the time we left, Joey was extremely hospitable and provided a perfect spot for a perfect Costa Rican vacation. The landscaping around this house is beautiful, the pool is the perfect size, with a cascading waterfall coming from a spot... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Bambora for one week in December. Joey's pride in his establishment is evident from the moment you walk through the gate. The landscaping is beautiful. The pool and outdoor kitchen offer a perfect place to relax, especially when the heat down on the beach is unbearable. Our apartment was... More

My husband and I stayed at Casa Bambora after getting married at another spot in Costa Rica and we had such a great time. We stayed in the second floor "honeymoon suite" which was super clean and very spacious. The views from the two walls of windows out towards the ocean were awesome. Joey makes you feel right at home... More
