Joey takes immaculate care of his place. It is well designed and has a cool (both literally and functionally) cooking/hang out space next to the pool. People staying there are typically very social and this makes it so you don't have to go anywhere to be a part of things. We stayed 2 weeks and cruised around quite a bit,... More

The room is lovely.. the pool is amazing.... the walk to town is a piece of cake and most importantly Joey is great guy. His precious doggy makes an even better host than he does though :) This is the best deal in Tamarindo!

Joey is a wonderful host. His place is fabulous with a great view of the town and the ocean. You can see the sunset from his rooftop deck. He's a short walk to town and the beach. We could not ask for better. If you are going to Tamarindo Casa Bambora is the place to stay. Lots of options for... More

Where do we start...Casa Bambora might be a touch off the beaten path but it is FANTASTIC!! Joey (owner) was kind and accommodating from the moment we started emailing him months in advance. The accommodations themselves are SPOTLESS. Everything you need and nothing you don't. The images made it look a little "frat house-ish". but it is far from it.... More

I stayed here from for my first trip to Tamarindo and it was a wonderful experience. We rented the honeymoon suite for the extra space and the beautiful views. Having a studio with both a kitchen and a lounge area was truly a great touch. There are markets in town that have everything you could need for a short stay... More

Thank you for your review Marceline, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! I would just like to point out that the trail is not for everyone and normally guests who are unaccustomed to exercise or have a difficult time walking usually choose to rent a car or take taxi's. I'm confused as to why you would want to make the... More

I stayed at Casa Bambora for my 3rd time in 10 years. This place gets better every time. Joey has complete local knowledge and his expertise of operating this property cannot be compared. The pool was well maintained and the waterfall ...very cool! The room was spotless and the common grounds were equally as clean. The bed was extremely comfortable... More

I had one week of very relaxing and quite time in Casa Bambora. Every mornig I could wake up to birds chirping outside.Joey prepared the room on the first floor that everything was ready on my arrival. All things worked well and I could enjoy a spectacular Tamarindo panorama from the roof. There is a walk to the beach but... More

Thank you for your review Alex! However I am confused as to why you would warn people about renting a car when 90% of the roads here are paved and the dirt roads are actually very good right now. I don't know of these bad roads your talking about but Tamarindo roads have recently been graded and they are quite... More

We stayed at Joey's Casa Bambora for a third time this past week. Joey recommended Studio 2b because there were two of us and my teenage daughter and he felt we'd be more comfortable in this studio. We had previously stayed on the third floor studio and we were always extremely satisfied with everything and it exceeded our initial expectations.... More

We stayed in Joey's Casa Bambora for four days. And the place exceeded our expectations. From the top terrace of this on-top-of-the-hill house the Pacific can be observed on three sides. The rooms are clean and spacious equipped with AC, fans, kitchens with stoves and fridges. One can easily cook and even barbecue outside next to the pool. The swimming... More
