Frankly, Tamarindo itself was a little too " beach town " for our tastes but this hotel was a highpoint of our whole trip. We stayed a couple nights at both ends of our trip earlier this month. We'd stay there again. Large comfortable rooms. Beautifully maintained. Friendly helpful staff. Good restaurant if a little slow. Located on Langosta Beach,... More

What a special treat! The rooms are all hidden along a jungle walkway. Each of the villas has their own pool. Our pool was a plunge pool - very deep. I would recommend asking for one of hte shallower pools - but they are all great. We had a 3 bedroom villa for 4 adults and an infant. the decor... More

We stayed in the hotel for five nights. Superior service, attention to detail. The staff so very friendly and so attentive. A dream hotel, paradise. The restaurant was a delight, service outstanding and wonderful options.

Our 4 night stay the the Cala Luna was just what we needed to unwind, reconnect and peace out from city life. The resort is like a postcard and we hated to leave. Excellent food, even the vegetarian dinner options! Exquisite bath products, fruit flavored water by the pool and a spectacular beach to view the sunset are just a... More

We were at the 4 Seasons prior to staying at Cala Luna and it was different and terrific. Not a let down at all. Very peaceful, clean, spacious Villa. our own pool and driveway. Muy bonita! Pura Vida!

Cala Luna is well recognized by the locals as the best hotel in the Tamarindo area. It is beautiful and very high quality. I was most impressed, however, with the professionalism of the staff. They were above and beyond helpful and accommodating. Very personable to talk to and learn about the area. Sunsets on the private beach are beautiful with... More

An absolutely beautiful spot. Villas are fantastic. Friendly helpful staff. I'd definitely go back. Tour of La Senda was a highlight. 20 minute walk to town, but plenty of taxis. Nearby Beach Club for a great day at the Ocean. Tamarindo is a nice little town-food at most places acceptable, but not great.

I did my research on tripadvisor and noticed that this Hotel had a great location and the reviews were very good overall. It was true: The hotel is relatively close to the "downtown" area of Tamarindo so you get the best of 2 worlds: The tranquility of the hotel and a secluded beach area and quick access to all the... My whole vacation was great and to be upgraded to a Villa was the special surprise at the end.I plan to talk my friends in joining me next year. My plans are to rent in town and when they arrive join them before or after my rent period. Would like to be at the Cala Luna on March 2 for... More

We had a wonderful trip. The hotel was beautiful and felt secluded even though the town of Tamarindo was very close. We enjoyed that proximity to town. Although the hotel is not directly on the beach, the short walk to the beach is nice.
