I just returned home from a vacation with my whole family in Costa Rica. We had our original reservation here but unfortunately left after only 2 nights of a 7 night vacation. Upon arriving to the beautiful property we found out that our rooms were not properly assigned (3 rooms) and then proceeded to have several problems settling the rooms... More

We like smaller properties - this was a huge property, even difficult to access the elevator as if you are on the 5th floor you take one to get down to 3 and another to the ground level. No ice machines, you have to call room service. Food was very unique, but the beef was not edibile - we found... More

This is a magnificent stone-finished grand hacienda located on the Pacific coast at Mansita Beach and within the grounds of the Hacienda Pinilla complex. You enter the resort complex via a large, enclosed paved courtyard. From there you walk through a passageway to an interior pedestrian courtyard which overlooks the pool, resort grounds, beach and Pacific. This courtyard is furnished... More

Make no mistake about this property, it is no court yard Marriott like another reviewer suggested. From the moment you enter the grounds you can feel the stress dissipating. From the lobby of the hotel you have a view of the entire property, the sprawling pool and of course the ocean. Every night you can sit by the pool or beach... More

What can ya say--of course it is very nice!! The pool is huge, liquor carts close by! Staff is extremely courteous and I think most if not all speak English! Rooms are spacious with a big tub (ours did not have jets) Beautiful stand up shower, comfy king size bed. Everything is very well done, and for that you pay... More

Our travel agent booked us a Deluxe Ocean View King Room with a balcony. We arrived and were given a room on the first floor that looked directly out on a palapa. If you stood out on the patio, you could see past the palapa and what I can only describe as a field of weeds, to a sliver of... More

I'm surprised to read so many negative comments about the resort and staff. We just returned from a 6 night stay and couldn't have been happier. We had an ocean view room on the second floor. The A/C worked great, shower had hot water, comfy bed, and nice patio to relax on. We had no issues w/ the wind blowing... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights as part of a Costa Rica tour and it had, by far, the best decorated rooms that I have ever seen. We had a pool view room and I LOVED that the balcony could be screened-in. This allowed us to keep the sliding glass doors open all night and wake up... More

We were surprised by the review with so many complaints. We're currently visiting this resort and find the staff delightful and helpful, the breakfast buffet well stocked and the rest of the food pretty good. Our only complaint is that the wifi is $15 per day per devise!!!! I travel all the time for work and pleasure and have never... More

Where to begin? Flattened rubber door seals and gaps at the bottom that at least the iguanas didn't slither through. But, boy, the notorious Costa Rica winds sure did; we were positive Stephen King had written The Howling here. And it wasn't just us: everyone complained about the leaky doors. We stuffed pillows around ours to minimize. Real classy. Then... More
