Having stayed in many 5 Star resorts but only in Australia I wasn’t sure what to expect. Yes we were there for business and they may have helped but the staff were amazing.
The layout of the Hotel was a bit confusing at first and hard to find the restaurants especially when you are jet lagged,but the friendly staff always were happy to help.
Everything was extremely clean and there were staff around even in the wee small hours to assist you if necessary.

The meals were reasonably priced for a resort of this calibre but the only criticism was the exorbitant prices for taxis if you wanted to venture out.
We were quoted $70.US return for driving to tamarindo which is only 12km away and when you consider the average wage here is $250 a month that is just way over the top.
The service by the pool was great,towel boy,drinks at the pools edge and even a singer performing at the Azul grill.
