Great hostel, peaceful and quiet, clean good air con beautiful setting. Great to have the massage option on site. Good location close to town but far enough away to be quiet. Love the hammock on the balcony.

Our family of 9 visited Costa Rica for nearly 2 weeks and the last six days stayed at the Tico Lodge. It was a wonderful place to stay, a great town on the Pacific, and hospitality beyond compare. The accommodations are excellent since most of the time was spent by the pool or at the beach. My wife enjoyed a... More

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and both the town and the lodge were recommended to us by friends who had previously traveled there. We stayed in two different rooms on the property and loved both of them. While not a fancy 5 star resort in the classic sense of the term, the experience we had in both... More

We stayed in the Casa Del Sol, the sun house by the pool a 3 bed house, loads and loads of room - would have been a great party house a few years ago (before kids) The good Perfect for us and our 3 young kids, the pool is great as it's a cool (as in temp) place to escape... More

We decided to leave the cloud forest a day early and was looking for a place for our family of four at the last minute. This place was recommended by another hotel owner who did not have rooms when we were looking. We stayed in the Treetop apartment, which was GREAT. There is a huge deck with comfortable chairs and... We stayed here twice. Once in 2008 and again in 2015. The rooms have been updated and there is a terrific communal kitchen area, jacuzzi tub, and massage room now. The pool is lovely and very clean. I'm especially impressed by the beds, which are firm and comfortable, and the cleanliness of the linens and bathroom. We stayed in the... More

My family and I stayed at the Tico Adventure Lodge for one week. I'm a 13 year old boy and I thought that this hotel was very nice. They had a small pool, power lines and ropes that Howler Monkeys walk on, friendly staff, lizards, nice common areas, and a cute 3 legged dog! One of the only flaws of... More

We didn't book through online company as we learned that most hotels we have stayed prefer payment by cash in US dollars or Colones (local currency) and you might get a discounted rate. We found Tico Adventure Lodge from Lonely Planet guidebook and we were very happy staying there for 4 nights. Room is clean with balcony and hammock .... More

Beautiful pool, open kitchen, wood work, lizards, clean, $52 for a private room, three beds one a bunkbed, fridge outside your door. 5 min walk to beach. I took an inflatable paddle board. Caught fresh fish made ceviche. 2 min walk to grocery store, pineapples, mangos bananas. Bed by 11 up at 6:30. Slept like a rock.

We are a party of six - husband, wife, three kids, and auntie - ranging in age from 7 to 64. Because we booked here after we arrived (the BnB we had booked wasn't working for us) we stayed in several places within Tico Adventure Lodge during our almost three-week visit, including the Tree House, the Pool House, and five...
