We had a "villa" that was private as it was free standing. It had a full kitchen, dual a/c in case one failed. Short walk to beautiful beach. Breakfast included eggs, plantains, rice and beans, sometimes stuff yucca, sometimes pancakes, always assorted tropical fruit. Seems like the pool was raked, greenery trimmed, outside lovely. Staff was happy to hook us... More

We spent a week here and loved every minute. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. Will assist with tours, taxis, and anything else you need. [Got hugs when we left]. We would head to the beach for an early morning walk, then back to this small family-run hotel for breakfast, then by the pool. The breakfasts offered enough options... More

I was here in October, such nice landscaping, everyone was so nice and helpful. They have larger rooms with kitchens for people who like to cook or have children. I took a nice large room on the second floor with a fridge. 2mins walk to the beach, lovely pool. Breakfast is included, and dinner is good and very reasonable. I... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. Large room with nice balcony overlooking the gardens. Very relaxing and quiet. 2 min walk to beach for fabulous sunsets. Pool is small. Breakfast is standard fare You really need a car for staying here

I showed up to this hotel with low expectations because the service over the phone was pretty bad, but I was actually surprised on how good the service was while I stayed there! For some reason, my room didn't have soap or shampoo, but when I asked for some at the front desk, they sent some right away. What I... More

Nice rooms. The place is beautiful and the gardens and pool well maintained. Breakfast (included) could be better if for example you didn't have to choose between juice OR coffee. Toasts and fruit could be included in both the American and the Costa Rican breakfast options. The employees were all very kind and helpful but when you're paying 85+ dollars... More

What a lovely place just off Playa Hermosa, not yet in the lonely planet but very well prices with an option of fresh fruit or a costa ricin help yourself hot breakfast. The garden is nicely maintained and the birds chirp all day. They have a happy hour all night and you might also want your own one of eight... More

Nice comfy rooms, clean. Very beautiful landscaping in between the rooms, cabins, and pool. Nice swimming pool and decent covered parking. Love it and will be back. Only suggest is some preventive maintenance on the outdoor furniture. Beautiful wood and leather chairs famous from Costa Rica could use a little oil or care.

The grounds are probably the highpoint of this facility a couple blocks from the water. Hermosa is generally over-priced for what is offered, but Hotel Villas Acacia does not feel crammed in or dingy like some of the others. The rooms vary, but are generous in size. The grounds are long and deep so you can have quite some distance... More
