My sisters and I just returned from a getaway to Costa Rica at he RipJack Inn, and we all loved it. We went in August, which is technically rainy season, so the costs were lower, but it rained ONCE and was sunny the rest of the week. Here's my breakdown of our stay. The room: We stayed in a deluxe... More

We are so glad you had such a great experience visiting us in Playa Grande. It is guests like you that make what we do worth it. It seems you have uncovered the secret of "green season" is that it doesn't rain an overwhelming amount but just enough to cool it off and make everything lush and green! We hope... More

Staying at RipJack Inn is like staying at home, only BETTER! The staff at RipJack made us feel like we were so much more than WELCOME, that we were family. Every meal or beverage in the restaurant was not only delicious but also clearly made with love and served with a genuine smile. The menus have a wonderful variety of... More

I was at the RipJack Inn for a yoga teacher training in July. We were there for 3.5 weeks and everything was fabulous the ENTIRE time! The rooms are so clean, the good is excellent, the grounds are a tropical paradise and the 2 pools are beautiful and so relaxing to sit by! And let's not forget the world famous... More

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon. This place is amazing. If you like good kind people, fresh/ high qaulity food and one amazing beach this is the spot. You can surf here almost everyday the waves are killer. The resturant manager is a gem and the rest of the staff is no less. The people running this resort... More

I booked this hotel based on the great reviews, beach and pictures. I am a huge Tripadvisor researcher and reviewer and have never been disappointed before! This place was not at all what I was expecting! Ripack is in the middle of nowhere, the taxi driver couldnt even find it. The beach is deserted and you cannot see it from... More

Wow what an interesting review for someone who was at the property for less than an hour. Upon arrival you discovered that you were in Playa Grande not in Playa Tamarindo so I can understand your disappointment in not having a big town or lots of night life. Most people who choose Playa Grande do so for it's quiet beach... More

What can I say other than we loved it!! Nice quiet location and great food. Ms Nubia was so helpful with setting up our rental car and answering questions before we even got there. Nice clean rooms and two pools to chose from. Very convenient to the beach, just across from the inn. My husband was able to surf without... More

I have stayed at RJI three times over the past few years and I know I will return. In May 2012, I signed up for a 5 day yoga and surf retreat - the staff, rooms, local yoga and surf instructors, the restaurant, the food, and the lovely sleepiness of Playa Grande -- the entire experience was beautiful. My favorite... More

We just picked it at random, but what a fun place to stay. The beach is steps away through the trees, there are two pools, a yoga studio (a yoga retreat was going on while there), and a good open air upstairs restaurant. We planned to stay one night, but decided to stay a second because we had so much... More

There is a reason I have been returning to the Rip Jack for years; Well managed, beautiful lush grounds, immaculate and very reasonably priced accommodations, great food, and great staff of super friendly Ticos and Gringos. Hard to find a better location in Costa Rica, and I have seen it all. They are literally on the beach, 50 Minutes from... More
