I booked this hotel based on the great reviews, beach and pictures. I am a huge Tripadvisor researcher and reviewer and have never been disappointed before! This place was not at all what I was expecting! Ripack is in the middle of nowhere, the taxi driver couldnt even find it. The beach is deserted and you cannot see it from... More

Wow what an interesting review for someone who was at the property for less than an hour. Upon arrival you discovered that you were in Playa Grande not in Playa Tamarindo so I can understand your disappointment in not having a big town or lots of night life. Most people who choose Playa Grande do so for it's quiet beach... More

What can I say other than we loved it!! Nice quiet location and great food. Ms Nubia was so helpful with setting up our rental car and answering questions before we even got there. Nice clean rooms and two pools to chose from. Very convenient to the beach, just across from the inn. My husband was able to surf without... More

I have stayed at RJI three times over the past few years and I know I will return. In May 2012, I signed up for a 5 day yoga and surf retreat - the staff, rooms, local yoga and surf instructors, the restaurant, the food, and the lovely sleepiness of Playa Grande -- the entire experience was beautiful. My favorite... More

We just picked it at random, but what a fun place to stay. The beach is steps away through the trees, there are two pools, a yoga studio (a yoga retreat was going on while there), and a good open air upstairs restaurant. We planned to stay one night, but decided to stay a second because we had so much... More

There is a reason I have been returning to the Rip Jack for years; Well managed, beautiful lush grounds, immaculate and very reasonably priced accommodations, great food, and great staff of super friendly Ticos and Gringos. Hard to find a better location in Costa Rica, and I have seen it all. They are literally on the beach, 50 Minutes from... More

We stayed at the RipJack Inn the week of April 12-20. It was a fantastic experience. We rented the Deluxe Pool Suite for mom and dad and the Pool Suite #2 for our four boys. These rooms are at the end of the property so it was nice and quiet with no foot traffic. I highly recommend these rooms. The... More

We stayed in a family suite which was beautiful, clean and spacious. We loved the family-run feel of the Inn, and the staff was all friendly and helpful. They even offered to make us breakfast the night before our early-morning flight so we would have something to eat before we left! The restaurant had good, fresh food. The smoothies and fresh... I always start by saying that I am a wedding photographer and I shoot a lot of weddings all over the world, so I don't get to chose the hotel nor do I pay for my trip, so its an unbiased review. OK, I stayed in room 1 right under the restaurant and right by the entrance, so it was... More

I'll start with the restaurant and their staff, for whom I give 5 stars in every respect.I have some food allergy issues (gluten, dairy, others) and got in contact with the hotel before I booked my stay. Management was very proactive and provided me with the planned menus during my stay before I arrived. When I arrived, the wait staff... More
