Our first trip to Costa Rica and Playas del Coco. We chose this location due to being close to the beach. John and Savannah were a great help and we were able to move to a bigger room. If you are noise sensitive then the dueling loud speakers from the bars downtown may be a problem, bring ear plugs. However... More

This place was so awesome.... I came with my baby and my mother to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York. Boy was I in for a treat the owners John and Savanah were beautiful people over extending their welcome.... The staff was super friendly and adaptable to all ages including my at the time one year... We picked this hotel because it was so close to the beach. John and Savannah were very helpful and friendly. Adrian the bartender was excellent and the food was very good. We felt at home and would recommend it too our friends. The only downside would be the closeness to the downtown area and the dueling bar loud speakers, they... More

Each and every time I come to stay in Playa del Coco I eat here the first night (and others). The menu offers quite a large selection of food from fish to sushi to hamburgers. If you catch a fish they will prepare it for you and your table (if you want this option). There are fans overhead that keep... More

Stayed a few nights around New Year's eve in a large room with a big balcony overlooking the pool and partially the sea. Although aged, the room was impeccable with only one remark - the door lock didn't close shut unless you slam and jiggle it until it locks. This came in handy when my card stopped working a few... We got to Costa Rica a day before the rest of my family so needed a hotel to stay in for one night before checking into our house. We chose this place because of the great reviews. We arrived at 8:55pm, we did not know they closed at 9:00pm. We made it just in time. We could not find parking... More

We are very sorry for any problems you had. Christmas week is the #1 busiest times of the year. You received an economy room as it was likely the last room available. Our front desk does close at 9pm, but there is a sign clearly stating that our 24 market is there to help after hours. As for parking, we... More

Traveling with my family of 6, we stayed one night here. It was hot outside but we had a powerful air conditioner in our room and a great pool where the kids spent a couple of hours after dinner. If you are looking for a 4-star hotel, this is not it, but it is good and served our purpose. I... More

We experienced a security issue: the door to our room would not lock from the outside consistently. It could be opened by firmly putting pressure on the door handle to open the door. Hotel staff was not available for me to address this issue, although I did document it in the survey we were asked to fill out. I could... More
