We used the El Sitio as a stop-over for 5 days before catching the flight home at the end of a 10 week backpacking trip through Central America. If you want a comfortable, down-scale, but clean safe stay for a night or two, this is just fine. The staff was very accomodating, the room was simple, large, but plain. Check in was easy, desk staff spoke good English, and were very helpful. Rooms were plain, but quite acceptable. Air conditioning worked VERY well. More than enough hot water in shower. First of all, they have no elevators, so if you're on the 2nd floor, you get to carry alll your luggage up the stairs.Second- there is no casino, as stated on-line & on the hotel sign.
