Looks good on the outside. The room we had was a dump. No a/c. The restaurant was good but the rest is a rip off. The bathroom was disgusting. Also music was pounding till 10pm. Sounded like I was in a pitbull music video. Would not recommend this place

stayed one night in a double room with private bathroom. Room itself is large but pretty tired looking, big bathroom, cold shower but good water pressure! Room was close to reception/restaurant and fairly noisy so definitely bring ear plugs if your a light sleeper or like to sleep in. The main seller for this place is the courtyard restaurant area.... Very friendly staff, excellent food. Try their home made ice tea and the avocado with shrimps for lunch. Very comfotable stay. Little plaza and garden in the middle. You can choose sun or shade. Nice open restaurant with candle lights.

We had our first dinner in Costa Rica here....it has an amazing courtyard and the ambiance couldn't have been better! The service was great....although it was a reminder that we were on vacation and shouldn't be in a hurry...there was one chef and he cooked for one table at a time..... it was refreshing to see him cook everything from... We stayed in one of the bigger rooms in the old building. This is a beautiful building with a nice common area. Located is great: in the city center, close to the central square. The room was big, although it was just to small for the 2 double beds in it (the door could not open entirely). Very clean rooms... More

We stayed at this hotel 2 nights. first night in a small 30 dollar room and the second night in a more expensive 40 dollar room. The small room was really hot and stuffy and we could only open a small window. Almost no space to use the toilet and it had a mismatched top which caused it to run... More

This hotel is somewhere between a hostel and a hotel. There are a number of rooms at the front that have private bathrooms (cold water only), concrete (sort of polished) floors, ceiling fans, a tv and a two double comfortable beds for a quite cheap price. The bathroom doesn't have windows just large gaps high on the wall covered in... More

I stayed here a night at each end of our 4 week tour by bicycle. Found the rooms large and airy compared to most budget places, 2 double beds, a big clean shower and a ceiling fan, no need for Ac in the old rooms at least. Staff were friendly and helpful. Meals were good. This was one of the... More

Pluses- nice garden. Good breakfast restaurant. Decent budget prices. Central location. Pleasant staff Negative- the toilet in our room was leaking onto the floor and smelled of sewage. We twice requested repairs but nothing happened. It was enough to make us decide to find other accommodation when we pass through on our return home.

I stayed here for 2 nights @$35 per night for a single with private bath. Room was quite small with overhead fan but no a/c. Pretty toasty. Very good hotel restaurant that offers partial outdoor seating. Hotel is smack dab in the middle of town, and only one block from where you can catch an airport bus for 500 colones.... More
