This is a great place to stay. I stayed at a few different places while in Costa Rica and it was hard to find places with a hot shower. This place has hotwater! The rooms are clean, spaceous and the beaches are a short drive away. The owners are as American as you or I and are just a phone call away and the hotel staff are very friendly and eager to make your stay a comfortable one. They went out of there way to make me feel at home during my week long stay.
La Cruz is a little off the beaten path compared to the typical resort areas and it is because of that, they have the nicest beaches I have ever seen. Plan to bring food and beverages along with you. The views and the non-populated beaches are well worth the exta effort. The town offers several fried chicken places, a pizza shop, and has a small but fairly new shopping plaza.
I rate my stay at the hotel La Mirada and La Cruz as a great place to visit and stay. more
