I assume people come to this area to visit the Rincon de la vieja National Park, which was why we stayed there. Rinconcito Lodge is located near the Las Pailas entrance of the park & also the Rio Negro hot spring pools & the canopy tour/zip line tour that the lodge also offered. The place was beautiful, quiet, & serene.... More

We only stayed here 1 night, which is probably why no one was happy about the location (a 35-40 minute drive from Liberia, up a rocky/gravel road). Furthermore, GPS is useless up there and we were trying to get to the mudpots and other interesting stuff on the mountain - there was supposed to be a new road that was... More

My husband is an outdoor type guy and I am a city living person who loves to see Costa Rican people life. This lodge was perfect fits for us. We spent a whole 5 days enjoying their tour/activities… SURE! We had a blast! The facilities are maintained very well. There was a very short water cut off, internet down, power... More

I travel to Costa Rica often in search of NATURE and peace in the countryside. This very safe, peaceful, hide away is easier to get to from Liberia and a short ride or decent hike from Rincon de la Veija southern part. I talked to David, gave great directions and an overview. The rooms where close to the dinning room,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, had beautiful views, had hot water, and all at a very low price. We were lucky to get a newly built room and the new pool opened the day after we arrived. A couple negatives: if you don't have... More

This hotel is conveniently located closed to Rincon de la Vieja, although you still need a car to move around and possibly take a private toll road to get to the park. It is avery quiet and peaceful area ideal to relax. The downside is that there is nothing around are they are no alternative but to take the meals... More

I was recommended this resort and enjoyed my three days here enormously. The rooms are very comfortable although the bathroom is a little cramped but there is masses to do around the area and the National Park is interesting with a great deal of volcanic activity. I also liked the manager David who was very helpful and pointed me in... More

We came here thinking it would be convenient for the National Park. It is, providing your happy to pay $30 each way for a ride the park entrance only 10 minutes drive away ! That's on top of the $25 each way for the taxi to / from Liberia, 30 minutes drive away. The manager was a fly guy in... More

We have had the luck to stay during Valentine's day (dia de los enamorados) and we enjoyed the special dinner! The people have been very friendly, nice stay! Of cause, the Rinconcito is not an easy drive, but perfect if you want to stay three nights in Rincon de la Vieja, but that is recommended if you want to see... More

We stumbled across Rinconcito Lodge while we were out sightseeing and decided to stop for lunch. So very glad that we did. What a beautiful place for a leisurely lunch. We had a really great lunch with amazing hospitality. I would love to return and actually stay for a few days. The view is great and the grounds are beautiful.
