We got here the week before the rush, my wife and two children (10 and 7) and I. The staff greeted us and showed us to our room. We ordered a room for the 4 of us and were initially shown a room with a single queen size bed. This was sorted pretty quickly and we got the two bed... More

Dear Guest, I am so sorry about the situation with you guide and driver. Unfortunately there were no rooms available when you were there. I reviewed our records to make sure the rooms had been full. According to my staff they offered them a standard room at 40% off but they said they were fine staying in La Fortuna. My... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this hotel last week. Upon checking in to the hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff and a fresh glass of juice. Our view was beautiful of the jungle but once we were ready for bed we found a rock hard mattress. My husband and I had back aches by the... More

Dear Guest, I'm very sorry to hear you did not sleep well on your bed. Your mattress is a new pillow top mattress we purchased a few months ago. Everyone likes a different firmness and I'm sorry you thought it was too firm. Any food that we serve that is not to the guest's liking can always be returned and... More

We spent 3 nights at Lost Iguana with our 3 teenage children. Our 2 bedroom suite was perfect for the 5 of us. 2 separate bedrooms plus great living space, small kitchen and gorgeous back porch with Jacuzzi. The resort property is beautiful and well maintained. It is, however, remote. It is a $30 taxi ride each way into La... More

We spent 4 nights at Lost Iguana in a luxury suite. The staff is very nice and polite, the food is quite expensive but delicious, the suite is wonderful with an outdoor shower and jacuzzi and lots of amenities but... We had no view on the Volcano at all! The nature surrounding our room is magic but the view from... More

Dear Guest, I'm so sorry that your view was blocked by a tree. I try to check on a regular basis, but everything grows so fast I was not aware the view was now blocked. Costa Rica has a law that prohibits us from cutting trees, but we can cut the branches to allow views. When I heard about your... More

Lost Iguana not only planned our dreamed wedding, but made it happen! We have nothing but good memories from our experience with the Hotel, from dealing with the staff remotely during the year we were making arrangements, to the very last minute of our visit. All the staff is super kind and attempt, whilst the installations are a true paradise!!!... More

Lovely and charming place in the jungle. A little bit outside and not accessible without car. Ask for a room with a fantastic view on the arenal. Very quiet and relaxing. The pool is small and honestly not really televant ad you should explore the region during the day. Friendly service and nice breakfast. Located closly to hanging bridges.

Decent hotel. Rooms were clean and quiet and all had a good view of the volcano. Restaurant was very nice, but you were paying NY / London prices for food in the middle of a Costa Rican rainforest - seemed a bit toppy, although the food was good to be fair. Fitness centre was good and the Spa seemed nice... More

We LOVED this place! Staying in this secluded property, you get a wonderful rain forest experience. The rooms are beautiful and the views are unbelievable. Out our window was a lush jungle, beautiful flowers and an amazing view of the Arenal volcano. Our room also had an outdoor shower, full of green plants. The lobby and restaurant are all open-air... My husband and I completely fell in love with this resort and its staff during our stay. The grounds are amazing and the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. There is a little bit of a drive from the town of La Fortuna to Lost Iguana but it's not bad and totally worth it. You truly feel like you're... More
