Let me preface this review by saying that I was born in Costa Rica but now live in the United States and travel yearly to Costa Rica with my children and husband. We have stayed at the springs 3 times, the most recently in August of 2012. Not only it is beautiful and romantic, with a spa where you can... More

Drove around looking for a wonderful hotel, and we arrived here. Have stayed at many hotel's around the world, and this is by far one of the best. It is isolated along an unmade road. A city car would struggle, its about 3.5kms along this road, and parts can be quite steep. Ones you arrive you are in paradise. October... More

We rented the Presidential suite with Bungalow suite attached. it is very large, 2 golf carts to get around (nice and fun but not necessary as the grounds are so nice to walk). we did cook dinner in the full kitchen twice, and it was tough, as it was not fully equipped, but we made do, and it was great... Our family of 3 spent a lovely weekend at the Springs. The room was all you could possibly want and more - gorgeous patio with hammocks, table, chairs and rockers and all with a view of the volcano. Beautiful room with a fantastic bathroom, shower and jacuzzi. The breakfast buffet was well worth the cost, best french toast ever. The... More

My boyfriend and I just returned from staying at the Springs Resort three days ago and I'm surprised it took me this long to write a review. We stayed for four nights in an Alta Vista room and the room was beautiful -- we especially loved the patio with a perfect view of the Volcano. Whether we were having a... More

We spent 3 nights here during early October. I have been to many beautiful hotels but this one is at the top. The service was amazing, the views were incredible and the hot pools were relaxing. Highly recommend this resort. Relaxing and beautiful.

We were given a tip to go to The Springs if we wanted a hot springs experience by the owner of Lucky Bug. She says all the locals go there rather than Tabacon which costs$85.00 for a one day pass. The Springs costs $60.00 for a TWO day pass and it is well worth it. 13 hot pools are there... More

My husband and I stayed at the resort in early September. It was very beautiful! We celebrated our one year anniversary. I shared that information upon booking and we arrived to the resort with the entire staff knowing about our celebration and a bottle of wine in our room. The staff is extremely friendly. They arranged for someone to pick... More

Went here for my birthday in the middle of our honeymoon. The place is divine and the service as well as the rooms are exquisite, Mary Antoinette would have been loved it! No words can describe it just go! One important comment though is in low season we got them down to 170 and apparently you can even bargain more.... More

My husband and I just returned from a glorious vacation to Costa Rica. It was a long awaited vacation filled with excellent accommodations, local food, ecological experiences and adventure. But the highlight lodging was our three-day stay at the Spring Resort and Spa in Arenal. Our stay set the bar high for any other lodging accommodations we will experience in... More
