We stayed in the Linda Vista Suite, and its everything you see in the photos. Kind of ridiculous to have your own pool, a lovely double bath and inside and outside showers - what to do?!? Jumping in for a candle-lit midnight swim was amazing. The staff were top-notch and local, so you are helping the local people. Besides the... More

Well. it is amazing. The room and river experience is fantastic. My only complaint is the high-price. I was also hoping to see more exotic animals (monkeys, toucans,) Find the waterfall. Food is good, not great. Rooms are too beautiful to believe.

My wife and I recently stayed at this incredible lodge and we can't add much to the reviews already written, but wanted to get our 5 star rating added. They work so hard to make the experience fantastic. We did not take any of the tours, but did walk to the waterfall and enjoyed a fantastic morning all by ourselves... More

Here are the key points to remember if you are going to visit: No electricity in your room and no way to keep the noise and light out, which means that unless you've acclimated to the environment before you get here you aren't going to sleep well at all. Nothing but screeching birds, sicadas, and other jungle animals all night... More

I have written a lot of reviews and think I have not yet given an excellent score ever...until now. I think a place needs to be clean, up dated, friendly staff and be in a nice area. To get a great score there needs to be something very special...well Pacuare Lodge is unique and very special. First of all it... More

It is difficult to enumerate what we liked best about this hotel. It may have been the three hour white water raft into the hotel, were everything (food, wines) is brought in via raft or a long drive over rough terrain. It may have been Max, our awesome guide who was on the Costa Rica whitewater rafting team, a bird... More

I loved this place. The guides were awesome, the experiences were great and the food was absolutely awesome. Everything is brought in by raft or a basket crossing the river via wire. All of this considered, the food is absolutely amazing, some of the best I've had. While I didn't read all the reviews, I was amazed to find out... More

Er arrived on the river the morning after a long trip from Denmark. After a few hours of thrill's on the river we arrived at the lodge. We were amazed. In the middle of the jungle, where everything has to be sailed in, we found Nirvana. The place itself is unbelieveable, and the friendliness of the staff and guides is... More

I am not sure what to say that hasn't already been said. This place was amazing and an experience I wont soon forget. The river guides that also acted as our chefs, waiters, bartenders, tour guides and extreme sports adventurers - were all amazing. They are incredible people all around and made the experience what it was. I miss them... More

My best friend and I came here for out 40th birthdays. It was actually in February of 2011. This was the first part of our trip and we stayed here for three nights and then moved further south. This place exceeded our expectations by far. It was lovely. The staff/service was fabulous and the food was fresh and delicious. We... More
