We had an awesome time at the Pacuare Lodge. The experience is a bit pricey, but definitely worth its money. I would recommend a two or three nights stay. If visiting in the rain season, you will have the afternoon for relaxing/napping ;). The area is quite spacious, and the rooms as well. It is truly a 5 star lodge.... More

I was so sad to leave Pacuare Lodge that I almost considered returning a week later - it was that beautiful. Three days was definitely not long enough! I loved the exhilarating white-water rafting, swimming beneath the waterfall and the sound of the Howler monkeys in the trees. The luxury accommodation with outdoor and indoor shower, amazing service, friendly staff... More

We stayed in the honeymoon suite in April 2013. Hands down we wouldn't hesitate to go back. The Pacuare leg of the trip started with a long ride from San Jose to Turrialba. The Pacuare tour guides talked about the history of the area as we passed and answered any questions we had about the country. We stopped at a... More

There are times, you see a place online and you think "there's no way it can live up to this". It does. The room was spectacular - our own photos match what you see online. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. You get the feeling that they genuinely care about making you happy. I never really adjusted to... More

My husband and I spend our honeymoon at the Pacuare Lodge last week. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights and wished we were staying longer! The lodge was incredible! We were picked up from our hotel in San Jose and drove about an hour until we stopped for a traditional Costa Rican breakfast at a really neat scenic place... More

Although not for the faint at heart, but the again true paradise is in the eye if the beholder. From the start this place is paradise. Accessible primarily by white water rafting ingress and egress (although arrangements can be made by land) the adventure begins with an hour trip on class I and II rapids...a little taste if what is... My husband and I chose to stay at the Pacuare Lodge for our Honeymoon. We stayed in a Linda Vista Suite called Lora for 4 nights. I highly recommend the Linda Vista Suites as they have a private spring fed pool attached to them which I highly enjoyed. The water was brisk but felt amazing to be in. As far... More

Location, food, service and friendliness was the best place I have ever had. The room was incredible with a view of the river. Activities were so much fun and adequately priced. Can't wait to go back!

Myself and my husband chose to spend the last 3 days of our 14 day tour of Costa Rica at Pacuare. Needless to say were not disappointed in the slightest. Our river suite was amazing, comfortable bed, amazing views and a short walk to the main buildings. The food was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the staff and... More

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon in mid August. We fell in love with the place. Pros: Service and staff are amazing! The food is great Rooms are beautiful (screened so you can enjoy nature) No electricity (I think this is a pro, they light your candles while at dinner, so pretty) Tons of fun adventures (zip lining...
