We will definately go back! Staff, food, accommodations fab! Probably 3 nights would be our max...truly feel like "survivor" but in a pampered way. Highly recommend having dinner in the "nest". Unique adventure worth doing.

We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. What a fantastic trip it was! The staff was great! You whitewater in for 2 hours and then when you leave you white water out for 3 hours from rapids 1-4. Great time. We took advantage of the canopy tour and the massage and really enjoyed both! Our room was Puma... More

Although my husband and I enjoyed our recent trip to Pacuare Lodge, we left with the feeling that it didn't quite live up to our expectations. Our room was lovely, with a huge bed, both indoor and outdoor showers, and a covered deck and balcony with a view of the river. At mealtimes the food was very plentiful and usually... More

We started our trip to Costa Rica here and it was wonderful! The staff is exceptional, the food was excellent and the scenery is beautiful. We missed the raft trip in but they accommodated us by jeeping us in (it's a rough road and not usually done). The next day we did a waterfall hike and then the canopy -... More

Last week while vacationing with my family at Pacuare, I chose to go on the canyoning excursion. This excursion is owned by the man who owns the lodge, not by an outside company. On the excursion you repell down several cliffs while wearing a harness and are attached to "safety lines" .these cliffs vary in height from maybe 15-90 ft.... More

Dear Jill, I am truly sorry about your incident and am very glad that you weren’t hurt. Following your incident , we undertook an exhaustive revision of the cables on the canyoning tour route and have reinforced all of the anchors. We have now revamped our protocol to ensure that revisions are done much more frequently and thoroughly. I don’t... More

We went to Pacuare Lodge for Spring Break with our 12 year old son. It is a great place for kids (and adults) to disconnect from their phones/ipads and other gaming devices. All of the suites are an amazing relaxing spot. We stayed in the honeymoon canopy suite. It was above the tree line and we had our own walkway... More

Pacuare Lodge for us was pure heaven. We stayed in a Linda Vista Suite overlooking the gorgeous Pacuare river. You should be fairly fit to stay here as there is a good little walk up and down hill to/from the dining area. The fresh water plunge pool was cool and wonderful. The whole suite is just superb. No words can... More

This was my first stop of three places in Costa Rica for a March winter get-away from Minnesota. It was wonderful. I was greeted early morning at my San Jose hotel. A couple stops later after picking up a few others, we were off to the river put-in. We had a nice breakfast on the way. It was a rainy... More

They do have a road to get here by four wheeled drive vehicle....but it's not recommended to maintain healthy bones and joints unless your plane is late or you miss your pick up time. White water rafting is the way to go. About two hour into the park through some 4/6 rated rapids. You'll get wet, but everything is packed... More

This is one of the best places we have stayed. The concept and seclusion is great. Rafting in and out make sure that it is quiet and you feel like you are in the middle of the jungle. They have great activities for the days you do bit raft. The service is great. The river guides are also the waiters... More
