Location, food, service and friendliness was the best place I have ever had. The room was incredible with a view of the river. Activities were so much fun and adequately priced. Can't wait to go back!

Myself and my husband chose to spend the last 3 days of our 14 day tour of Costa Rica at Pacuare. Needless to say were not disappointed in the slightest. Our river suite was amazing, comfortable bed, amazing views and a short walk to the main buildings. The food was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the staff and... More

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon in mid August. We fell in love with the place. Pros: Service and staff are amazing! The food is great Rooms are beautiful (screened so you can enjoy nature) No electricity (I think this is a pro, they light your candles while at dinner, so pretty) Tons of fun adventures (zip lining... It's great. So nice of a change. It is very hard to get there. We took a 2 hour water rafting trip to the hotel. You have the option of a bumpy road on a 4 wheel something or other. One traveler told me it was a hard trip. Food was nice and fresh which was included in the price.... More

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at Pacuare Lodge and appreciate your positive review about it . Due to our remote location getting to our lodge is indeed an adventure and one of the highlights of the trip . I would like to comment on your inaccurate statement where you refer about Iphones being stolen at our lodge. Please note... More

July 9, 2014 - Gustavo, our driver, picked us up at your hotel in San Jose early in the morning. We shuttled around to other hotels to pick up the rest of the rafters (from the U.S., U.K., Canada, South Africa, and Australia). We all introduced ourselves and a friendly Texan said, "so, tell is your life story" to break... More

My fiance and I wanted to take our first trip together with our 5 children so the kids would get to know one another. Pacuara Lodge was our first stop in Costa Rica.. We stayed there for 2 nights . The experience was unbelievable! The living experience was so different from what we are used to, being in the actual... More

Everything starts with the exciting water rafting that you have to take in order to get to the hotel. Your water rafting guide will be your companion during the whole trip. The hotel is amazing… it is secluded in the middle of the forest, doesn’t have electricity, but you WONT need it or want it… this is one factor that... More

This place is amazing and if you have the option to include it in your holiday and you like the idea of jungle exploring with luxury this is the perfect place. Firstly credit has to go to the staff who were with us from the raft in through to the final lunch after rafting out. Their enthusiasm and level of... More

This was an experience of a life time. It had been a number of years since we were last here and it made us realize that we shouldn't wait so long to come back. The Pacuare River is a class IV whitewater rafting which in itself is a wonderful experience but to stop for two nights on the way down... More
