We were not so impressed with this hotel. It was located near the river we were rafting, otherwise we would have probably stayed elsewhere. Our initially impression was that it was charming - colonial style hotel - and reminded me a bit of Raffles in Singapore. I was wrong, it was not at all like Raffles. The room were nice... More

This hotel was a nice change compared to the other lodges and hotels we had. It has some atmosphere of luxury and although there are much more luxurious stays of course in Costa Rica the location is pretty awesome. We did the coffee tour nearby (Golden bean coffee) which was good from en educational point of view although disappointing that... More

This property is very quaint with only maybe 15 rooms, The restaurant was ideal for the place, with very good service. The pool was also a great place to relax and the hot tub made it a wondeful place to relax after ( in our case) biking 35 miles. No airconditioning, but not really needed when we were there, ceiling... More

This is a lovely character hotel, with good clean facilities - but don't go expecting modern rooms. The food was great and the service efficient - though not quite as friendly as in the other Costa Rican hotels we stayed in. Whilst there we walked some of the trails - you do need strong insect repellant if you do this.... More

The hotel was very nice, the food and the people was unique. The only black point into the hotel was, that the houskeeping start at 12 MD, so if you can stay at the rooms, you need to sleep with a mesh, because they only have one person like housekeeping. I recommend that include more people like housekeeping because looks... More

A wonderful stay. Beautiful property and hotel that harkens back to a different era of genteel elegance. Friendly and helpful staff. The lake is not accessible any longer due to local issues; however, it is still lovely to view.

This property is gorgeous, the staff friendly and helpful, the food wonderful. It looks like a villa out of a dream or a movie - like another era completely. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. There is a tiny gift shop and nice pool. The lake is not accessible any longer so that was very... More

This small hotel is a real gem. We had a 3rd floor room with balcony that was beautiful. The hotel, grounds, pool and interior decor are lovely. The restaurant, food and service were fantastic. I would recommend this hotel and i would definitely stay here again in the future if tn the area.

We had a brief stay, one night, at the Hotel Casa Turire. We stayed one night on our Honey Moon trip through Costa Rica. The rooms are very charming. Do not expect a modern hotel with a flat screen TV, it's not that type of hotel. The entire building is beautifully maintained and comfortable. It's as though you have almost... More

We enjoyed Casa Turire for a trip we took for our parent's 50th wedding anniversary in June 2014. They were so friendly, accomodating and even had a bottle of champagne waiting for my parents as a surprise. The food was great and the staff excellent. We had 12 people and reserved standard and family suites. Both were very comfortable and... More
