Just got back from our trip and wanted to leave a note. This place was great; it really should call itself a resort. The rooms and grounds were beautiful, very new, clean and modern. The shower and bathroom was amazing and each room has its own roomy balcony with chairs. The beds were also great. My only complaint was the... more

I am very picky about bathrooms and bedrooms. We had stayed one night at Tabacon, which was amazing, but was also really expensive. We were looking for a hotel that was cheaper but had nice facilities. We were visiting La Fortuna waterfall when we saw this hotel. We payed $77 for the night, and it included breakfast. The bathroom was... more

Honestly, my husband and I weren't crazy about staying here because we read that that this hotel is not on the active side of the volcano ( http://www.arenal.net/arenal-costa-rica-map.htm) and not very known, but we were traveling with our friends and this was their first choice and we realized that there was no guarantee that we'd see the volcano and/or lava.... more

The road to the Casa Luna Lodge is a narrow, curvy, and bumpy. It is about a 10 minute drive from the main downtown area with shops and restaurants. The hotel and grounds are beautiful! We had a second floor room (no elevators) with an amazing view of the volcano from our balcony. There was a TV, mini fridge, and... more

What a great place to stay - probably the best hotel we had in Costa Rica! Excellent rooms with AC, great breakfast, nice pool, friendly staff, very clean. You need a car to get around but I guess almost everybody who comes to La Fortuna comes by car. We can only recommend this hotel and would always go back here. more

First overnight experience in CR and, with the exception of our last night (outside San Jose), our best. Hotel only had 5-6 other parties staying (they have 20+/- rooms). Like the previous review, our stay was haunted by clouds and rain (no volcano sighting). But room/grounds were (a) safe and secure, (b) mega clean and modern (I think I took... more

We came to La Fortuna to see the Arenal but during our stay (3 nights) we never even caught a peek of the vulcano as it was raining most of the time. I think in such a situation the hotel and its premises plays a special and vital role for one's own well-being. The hotel is rather new and this... more

If you're like me, you might be reluctant to have booked a hotel with so few reviews. From the pictures, it looked like the hotel was new, so new hotels generally mean everything is in good condition (beds, linens, etc.). So we booked for one night. (Yes, it does help if you speak some Spanish when communicating with the hotel.)... more

We stayed for 3 nights at the Casa Luna Lodge. It is a very peacefull and lovely hotel, surounded by a beatifull nature. There are a lot of things to do just nearby, for examplae the arenal waterfalls are just 2 kilometers away. Breakfast was perfect! more

We just returned from a 2 week visit to Costa Rica which began at Casa Luna Lodge in La Fortuna. What a delightful place to begin our journey - we loved it so much that we extended our stay an extra day before moving on to the Pacific Coast. The rooms were comfortable with a great shower and comfortable beds.... more
