We stayed in one of the casitas for three nights. Each one has its own covered patio with a view of the volcano. We used it for morning coffee while listening to the many rainforest birds, or for the inevitable downpour. The casita was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. We were glad to have stayed outside of town... More

My partner and I traveled to La Fortuna last week and stayed at Hotel Campo Verde for 5 days. It is currently low season in Costa Rica because of the rains, but it was perfect for us since the hotel was sparsely occupied (same as the rest of the properties in La Fortuna at the time). We were given a... More

We stayed at Campo Verde for 4 nights at the beginning of our honeymoon. We arrived at 11:30 at night and the security guard was waiting for us. We were in a junior suite, the room was lovely and we had a full view of the volcano (which did occasionally come out of the cloud). We really liked the hotel... More

I wish I could review Campo Verde. With reservations months in advance, after traveling all day, and driving all evening we were greeted with a post it note from security. Sorry -we sold the rooms. Supposedly, they tried to charge the room to my American Express and it didn’t go thru (international charge for me / card not present). Security... More

We stayed four nights at Hotel Campo Verde and were happy with our stay. The price/performance ratio is ok but the location offers not much within walking distance. Next time we would book another hotel, possible one more in nature for walking or one nearer to town. Receptionists speak good english, they are very helpful, do calls for you (e.g.... More

Cabins are private, spacious, seriuosly updated with flat screen tv, ac, multiple US friend power outlets, clean for a cab in the rainforest. I would give this place 5 stars, but its not a luxury hotel like some of the others with hot springs. I will be staying here again. Made to order bfast is included and are filling portions.... More

We stayed in cabins 11 and 12, which are quite new and from the outside looked larger than the older cabins, which have lower numbers. 11 was bigger but 12 had a slightly better view of the volcano, rocking chairs on the porch, and cozier decor. They were very clean and had ample storage space. These newer cabins didn't yet... More

we went with another couple and shared a cabin, and it was perfect! We went for a little walk in their woods towards the volcano, and saw 4 curassows (a cock and 3 hens) , a motmot, toucans, a guan, a chacalaca, and a trogon. AWESOME!!!

Hotel Campo Verde offers well maintained if basic cabanas with fabulous views of the volcano and parking right next to each cabana. Breakfast is basic but tasty and service was friendly, overall a very pleasant experience. There is a nice 20 minute hiking trail on the premises.

After a ride out of La Fortuna did we arrive at the lodges. The receptioniste wasn't that interested, maybe it wasn't her day. The lodge was lovely and very large, nice walk on the grounds which they are upgrading as we write this, breakfast was as usual but good. Withouth a car (us) is there nowhere to go or walk... More
