We initially reserved for a one night stay in La Fortuna. But we liked it so much that we just had to stay a second night! The Arenal Oasis Eco Lodge is right on the foothill of the Arenal. In the morning if you go for an early walk you can see and take pictures of the volcano. The staff... More

The staff here could not have been more helpful. The lodges are lovely. The trail around the park was easy to follow and we were able to see lots of wildlife on our own while wandering. The night time tour was brilliant - we saw loads of colourful frogs and our guide was really informative.

I'd highly recommend the night guided tour of the wildlife refuge - the flyer around the hotels says 'Frog Watching'. You go around in small groups of 4 or 5 so you get real attention and no problems seeing anything. With our excellent guide Gerald we saw about 20 different types of amazing frogs, a Halloween snake, a viper, night... More

I stayed at this Eco-lodge with my friend just for one night, upon arrival Walter in the reception area welcomed us and even walked us to our bungalow (#4), he was really nice and accommodating and even told us that in case of emergency when the reception is closed, the owners of the place can be contacted near by the... We spent 3 nights here in Bungalow #5. The bungalow was big and spacious, the hot water worked, and there was a wall fan. The next closest bungalow was 50 feet away. The rainforest on on your doorstep. We really appreciated the fact that we could park our rental car right next to our bungalow. On the first night we... More

We had a two bedroom cabin that our family group stayed in for the night. Basic cabin accommodations, but in a beautiful rainforest environment. The electricity went out in the cabin for a short period, there was a small microwave that was possessed (worked when it wanted to) and a few more insects stopping by to say hello. All of... More

Nice little cabins. Good breakfast. Great staff. Night frog walk- spectacular. Cottages are very cozy. The rain forest is truly worth seeing. Birds come every morning at breakfast to entertain guests. There is a little nature trail on site. The facility feels very rural, yet is close to town and to restaurants and tours.

This tour was lead by Jason who is a fine Naturalist and a very nice person to just visit with. Now on to the good stuff : we found red eye frog, ringed snail eating snake, beautiful fungus, hour glass frog ,owl butterfly and many more creatures. Then we turned out the lights and listened. Jason then told us what... More

We loved our stay. The individual cabins were extremely comfortable, provided plenty of privacy and a chance to feel as if you were staying in the heart of the jungle. If you need silence to sleep, this is not the place for you. Otherwise, going to sleep and waking up with the sounds of the jungle around you is amazing.... More
