I am so happy and grateful that we stayed at Arenal Oasis in La Fortuna. Not only was it the best place we stayed at in all of Costa Rica, it was the staff that really made the difference. It's a real family feel, and as soon as you walk in there you feel welcome, at home. And on top... More

Coming from the touristic crowds in La Fortuna, Oasis lodge lives up to its name. It's a beautiful place with its own wild-life tracks. You sleep in nice, comfortable cabinas with ensuite bathroom. Everything is clean and cosy. Breakfast is included, and is served in the open air restaurant with birdfeeders all around. Nothing better than breakfast with woodpeckers and... More

Stayed at this hotel for two nights and have no negative things to say about this place. It is run by a family and that gives it a little air of homeliness which is always good. The receptionist (assuming she was the or one of the owners) was amazing, her English is excellent and she is very friendly and always... More

We really enjoyed our time here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I loved that there are only a handful of cabinas spread throughout the property. My kids loved exploring the trails and area around the cabin. Nice, quiet and peaceful. We had the two room villa which was more than enough for our family of four. We... More

At breakfast (that is very good) you are treated to birds coming in for fresh fruit, you have a front row seat to watch as you enjoy your food. Kind servers, and they watch the fruit, when it's near gone they set out more so all that come for breakfast can enjoy the birds there. The rooms were nice, but... More

We stayed in a bungalow and a villa (3 couples) and it was so great. It really feels like you are staying in the jungle, there are beautiful plants all around and you can't see the other villas because they are all tucked away in the wilderness. Pablo and his family are all very nice! There's a free drying service... More

Great place to stay! We did the bird and night tours...excellent! Counted over 50 bird species in a 4 hour tour. The night tour was full of frogs, ants, nesting hummingbirds and a lot more. Good breakfast that was part of the deal.

We stayed here for four nights in December and it proved a great choice. The cabins are on the basic side, but the setting and wildlife close by make up for this. We've stayed in a more upmarket lodge previously, the rooms were a better, but the manicured grounds were sterile compared to the Oasis. Set in a few acres... More
