This was the worst place we stayed at during our two weeks in Costa Rica. It was not horrible, but it simply wasn't great. My title is "It'll do" to simply illustrate that if you plan on spending the whole day AWAY from the hotel, hiking and exploring the wildlife of Arenal, then its ok for sleeping. However, besides the... More

We had reservations here for the week of July 12-18, 2015 that we made on December 2nd, 2014. Hotel Kokoro waited 4 and a half months to cancel our reservation telling us that they decided to close that week. They then proceeded to send us a list of four "comparable" hotels in the area. All were either already booked (2... More

Can't say enough great things about this place! In a city that has a lot of tourists, you feel tucked away in a beautiful cottage in the jungle. We stayed in one of the suites, beautiful views of the volcano while laying in bed. Breakfast every morning was awesome, delicious and in a beautiful outdoor setting. We saw all kinds... More

We stayed in cabin #1. We had a great view of the Arenal volcano as you step out of the cabin. We loved the grounds at Hotel Kokoro. We saw over a dozen different types of birds and we were impressed with the views. The cabin was a good size for our family of 5. The service was friendly and... More

The resort is well situated in a gorgeous area with a superb view of the volcano. The rooms are large but the overall feel of the resort is "tired". The thermal pools were not all open or hot enough. Breakfasts were good and the staff were amazing. Special mention of Diana because of her helpfulness and suggestions, and of Stephanie... More

This hotel affords a 5 star service experience. The people working at the hotel could not be nicer. I was a woman traveling alone, yet was not one bit apprehensive since everyone in this hotel made me feel so comfortable. I felt I was staying with good friends. The hotel rooms are surrounded by vegetation and the sound of birds... More

Kokoro sits on a beautiful property with a magnificent view of the Arenal Volcano. The rooms are cabin style with modern comfort. Our room is big with a huge bathroom and has a refrigerator too (a nice surprise). The breakfast area is semi open air and is very beautiful. The food is varied and tasty. The reception staff is very... More

Beautiful, well maintained, well staffed facility that was a pleasure to visit. Rooms are clean (but poorly lit, as is the rest of Costa Rica) and the public areas are comfortable. The staff was helpful in getting our car rental problem resolved (nothing they were responsible for) and offered alot of information on the local sites. Breakfast was tasty (but... More

This hotel was a great surprise to us. I booked it not knowing what I was getting myself into but stumbled upon a very private, personal, beautiful and quite spacious getaway. The hotel is not very large, there are only a handful of rooms but everyone has their own private bungalow and it's very peaceful and quiet- but not a... More
