My wife, brother, and me went on a 8 day trip to Costa Rica. We stayed at Hotel el Silencio for 4 of the days. We had a great time at the Hotel. All the staff members were helpful, smiling, and gave good recommendations for places to eat and activities to do, and in the process saved us a ton... More

We felt really good about selecting Hotel El Silencio del Campo for our stay near Arenal The good: -The hotspring in the back (free!) is an oasis, and you could easily spend your entire time soaking in the spa. -The price! -Nice private cabinas -Decent hearty breakfasts, not exactly gourmet, but hot fresh corn tortillas were wonderful -Very nice and... Best kept secret in Costa Rica!!! Perfect small hideout with excellent accommodations and staff. Each room is a private cottage. Their huge private hot springs with a waterfall has an outside bar just yards away - simply a jewel! Outdoor restaurant offered great view of the volcano from the La Fortuna area and there were many exotic birds especially in... More

We only stayed at El Silencio del Campo for one night - we wished we would have stayed for more. El Silencio was very affordable with all the luxuries of a higher end resort. We had one of the cabins near the front and, although you could hear some minimal road noise, the view of the volcano was fantastic. They... More

Beautiful grounds and setting. The adults in our party enjoyed the hot spring at Hotel El Silencio MUCH more than the overpriced amusement park style (the kids enjoyed) at the quite noisy Baldi Hot Springs accross the street. The food at Hotel El Silencio was EXCELLENT and MUCH cheaper than Baldi Hot Springs.

We started our trip to Costa Rica by staying at this hotel in Arenal. The staff made us feel very welcomed and the grounds were immaculate. We spent most of the days out, but came back to eat at their above average restaurant and to relax in their hot springs. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and we... More

We arrived here after having dealt with a bug infested hotel in Manuel Antonio. We were very pleased to have no bugs at El Silencio. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Ehlio (spelling?) was particularly helpful and great. Breakfasts were included and were huge. They kept us full until the late afternoon. The thermal springs located on the premise... More

A great hotel with a fine view of the volcano, when it is clear. Highlight is sitting drinking coffee outside the room watching the volcano rumble and smoke. Excellent and spacious rooms. The thermal pool is excellent with a bar next to it and the situated in fine grounds. La Fortuna is a short drive / taxi ride away for... More

We loved our stay at Silencio del Campo. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, especially Eliomar. They clearly love what they do! The cabinas are lovely and comfortable, though not pretentious. The hotel was thoughtfully designed - the grounds are very well-maintained. There is a sense of privacy in each cabin, yet you also have a chance to... More

We drove up from San Jose, a pretty easy trip, found the hotel easily. We totally loved the rooms, the breakfast, the surroundings. The thermal swimming pool w/bar is a real plus too. Eco-Temales is right next door (a must see). We are going back this year and repeating our stay here. We did have to wait abit for help... More
