Most Beautiful place on earth!!! I'm still dreaming about this place. Husband and I stayed here for my birthday. Beautiful views of horses, cows, Arenal Volcano, ducks, frogs, birds and much more. Great Breakfast included, great orange juice fresh! Highly recommend, will return!!!

Pros: * Seems to be a good location in Arenal (though don’t expect to see lava flowing, since currently the lava flows towards the other side) * Very nice grounds and well maintained * Rooms are very spacious and clean * There is a hot springs at the hotel and it is nice and we were usually the only people... I think its name says a lot about this place. Very quiet indeed. It is mainly composed of several independent cabins or small bungalows spread out on a big lot overlooking Volcano Arenal. I saw Arenal speeding out lava from my terrace having a glass of red, something that I will remember forever. The owner is a nice lady always... More

My husband and I really enjoyed the La Fortuna portion of our trip and especially the El Silencio. The grounds are beautifully kept, the thermal pool at night - just the two of us- watching the volcano spit out red ash was like something you feel like pinching yourself over. The view of the Arenal Volcano is great and every... More

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Hotel El Silencio del Campo. We are both world travellers to many developing countries and came to Costa Rica wanting adventure during the day and peace and beauty at night and that is exactly what we got at this hotel. The grounds are wonderfully designed and well kept. There is... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with our two children, ages 10 and 8. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. The staff was exceptional. The free facial that I received upon arrival was heaven. The hot springs on the grounds were a welcome respite from our day of horseback riding and hiking to the waterfalls in the... More

We live in Costa Rica. Together with a beach stay, the Arenal volcano is part of our standard fare with visitors. In that regard, we have had the opportunity to stay at several Arenal hotels. In this case, we were traveling with our daughter, husband and two grandchildren (5 & 7). The separate cabinas offered by Hotel Silencio del Campo... More

Our stay at Silencio Del Campo was like being in a fairy land!. My children.. all in their 20's woke up our first morning there and acted like young children on Christmas Morning ...with their impression of the beautiful grounds at the hotel and the magnificant view of Arenal Volcano!. The staff was very helpful and non intrusive. The rooms... More

I enjoyed my stay at El Silencio in August. Aside from it being along a touristy main road, there was little that I did not like about my stay. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite closest to the natural hot springs and spa. The cabin itself was beautiful and comfortable. The room had a refrigerator but no microwave so keep... More

This was our first stop in Costa Rica and we weren't sure what to expect. The hotel is made of individual casitas that are a little rustic, but all in all, it was a very nice little hotel. The grounds are landscaped beautifully and the view of the volcano is amazing. We loved the tipico breakfast that was provided each... More
