Our family included our 84 year old uncle, 8 year old son, and 3 teenage daughters, and everyone found something to love about El Silencio del Campo! The girls loved the onsite hot spring and the complementary facials in the spa tent, and my son had a great time in the pool. The "cabins" were lovely, spacious, and clean, and... More

We stayed at El Silencio for 4 days, just getting home a week ago and I would recommend it to anyone without reservation. The rooms are clean and very nice. The grounds are amazing (any photos just won't do it justice), the restaurant is very good, the staff is very helpful, the spa is great and the hot spring pool... More

The reviews on TripAdvisor were extremely helpful. I would not have selected this hotel based on the photos on the web site. It looked a little too rustic for me. But the quality of the reviews here sold me and my girlfriend. The experience was very positive. Nice rooms. Great value. Fanastic location. And the staff was VERY helpful in... More

Lovely place, very helpful staff. The hot springs were a great way to end the day of hiking.

This is a wonderful place to stay in La Fortuna. It is located west of town with a nice view of volcano Arenal. Shortly after arrival we were greeted with some kind of fruit smoothie drink and it was really great to have because we were thirsty. At this hotel each "room" is a cabin. I say cabin, but it... We have been meaning to write a review from the minute we left. Even though it is a couple of months later, I still have not forgotten how wonderful everyone and everything was at El Silencio. We first stayed at the beach for two days, which is extremely hot and dry in the dry season. We were not happy with... More

This hotel is beautiful and amazing. It was the 2nd stop on my CR tour and I had just come from Manuel San Antonio. The two locations could not be more different. Every room is a self continued one bed room cottage - with air conditioning. There are tables set up outside the room so you can just sit and... More

El Silencio was my favorite hotel during our entire 2 weeks in Costa Rica. We are mid-range budget travelers who decided to splurge a little near the hot springs, but didn't want the over-the-top appearance of some of the other higher-end places. The staff took SUCH good care of us, helping us with anything and everything we needed. They were... More

My husband and I visited Arenal and stayed at Silencio del Campo. It was a great recommendation from our travel guide, Mynor Segura at Tico Comfort. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful location with the Arenal volcano as your main view, this is the place for you. Oh, another plus is that you won't have to leave the location... More

This was my second trip to Hotel El Silencio. This time I took my elderly parents. We all enjoyed the gorgeous landscaping around the cute cabanas. We were very lucky and got to see the volcano erupt many times! We really enjoyed the breakfasts and had several other meals at the on site restaurant. The service was outstanding again. This...
