We stayed here for 2 nights, and absolutely loved it! The place is beautiful. You get your own private little lodge, surrounded by beautiful gardens, with views of Arenal Volcano nearby. I really liked how this place had it's own hot springs and pool. The hot springs were so great to relax in at the end of the day, and... More

I booked my entire trip to Costa Rica based on the many reviews and postings I found on TripAdvisor and found this site to be extremely helpful. Although El Silencio del Campo is rated number one, they do not rest on their laurels. The location is great, the bungalows are spacious and private, the breakfasts are delicious and plentiful and... El Silencio del Campo is a gem. Its got a fantastic view, the cabins are cozy yet spacious, the pool and hot springs are superb. The restaurant could do with a better menu and service. Its really close to town (if you drive). If you are travelling with kids, this is the place to stay !

What a great find! We had our own little cabin to ourselves - the rooms were spacious and well-maintained. The hotel grounds were spectacular, and staff were helpful. My spa experience was wonderful - nothing like getting a massage with candle-light and the sounds of the Costa Rican wildlife around me. A great location with a view of the volcano... More

Spent 4 nights there. Hot spring was awesome and we had it all to ourselves several times. Ate at restaurant. Breakfast was fresh fruit and (made to order) eggs, toast, an omelette (loaded with mushrooms, veggies & cheese), or pancakes. Lunch and dinner a bit pricey, but good. Service was always friendly, but sometimes extremely slow with only 1 waiter.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were very attentive and some of the best in the country. The grounds were beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by several hot springs in gorgeous settings, but there is really no reason to leave the hotel as it has it's own hot springs on the grounds. We had some great massages in the... More

I used Trip Advisor to plan our stay in Costa Rica. I was so excited to stay at Hotel El Silencio del Campo, and when we finally arrived, it was everything I imagined and more! The absolute BEST place to stay. The garden grounds are stunning, as is the view of the Volcano that is literally right there! Each room... More

We enjoyed our three night stay. The biggest treats were the orientation at check-in, the assortment of birds that visited at breakfast, and the friendly staff. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The biggest treat was the hot springs. It was like having your own private hot springs because we had the... More

This is a lovely property just outside of La Fortuna. Each villa is very private with air conditioning and a small fridge. Very nice rooms! The grounds are gorgeous and the hot spring at the back of the property is a great place to unwind at the end of the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful in booking... More

We started our 10 day trip at this hotel for 3 days. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is exceptional. The cabins are lovely. The food is good. The hot springs are wonderful and so convenient. We loved the spa. I get a massage every week and this was the best massage I have ever received. My husband and I... More
