The term "heavenly" was used thoughout our stay as we took full advantage of the hot springs and spa for a couples facial. Although we were there for only three nights, we felt like we were treated like family by all of the staff from the minute we booked our respect. Eliomar was so helpful booking our stay as well... Great place and would stay again but felt it was rather pricey so only a 4 rating. The la fortuna area is already higher than most so perhaps this hotel is comparable but they charge per person over 2 people and was not expecting that! Breakfast was delicious and included so make sure you come hungry!

This place is gorgeous! The flora and fauna could keep me here all day. The views of the volcano are incredible. The rooms are well equipped and clean. Staff is knowledge and friendly. There are about four or so natural hot springs on property. Bartenders, Eilena and May were so much fun. My husband and I have been here only... More

We stayed at Hotel Silencio for 4 nights and we had an incredible stay. I travel frequently and this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in from the beautiful hotel grounds to the cozy villas to the helpful staff. I was in constant communication with the front desk via email before our arrival as they helped answer all... More

We started our Costa Rica adventure in Arenal. We flew into San Jose and had probably the scariest drive of my life up the mountain, in THICK fog, to our resort but once we got there we were beyond happy. Our "hut" was spacious and private. The entire time we stayed there (3 nights/4 days) we were able to enjoy... More

This hotel is my favorite place to stay ever! We took advantage of the 7 or so natural hot springs. During our 4 day stay, my girls (ages 10,15) got mud massages and I had the complimentary facial and a back massage. We milked the cow, collected the eggs and made cheese with the milk. Fernando is an expert cheese... More

We were in Costa Rica for a week in March, and stayed in 4 different hotels in various cities. We stayed 2 nights at El Silencio and it was my absolute favorite. The grounds are lovely. The cottage was beautiful. The staff is probably the most helpful, kind and friendly hotel staff that I have ever encountered. They have natural... More

Wow- I miss our time at the Hotel Silencio del Campo and would DEFINITELY stay there again! The staff is amazing and helped us with with so much - booking tours, advice on great restaurants, all while being so friendly and fun! At check-in we were greeted with awesome Fruit Punch Smoothies, given a gift of a complimentary facial that... More

This hotel has a lot going for it - and should be on everyone's shortlist of options in La Fortuna. The hot springs are fantastic, the staff friendly and efficient, the rooms spacious and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. You can't find a better location to base your excursions from. Even at capacity - it isn't crowded.... More

This property is to beautiful to accurately describe in a Tripadvisor review. One truly has to experience to appreciate it. From the lush gardens to the hot springs and the quaint cabin-like rooms, it is my picture of paradise. The only negative point I could possibly make regarding the scenery is about the ugly monstrosity of a hotel next door.... More
