There are already so many reviews of this place, I think everything has already been said. But I just wanted it to be known that there is yet one more satisfied guest. The grounds were amazing, the cabinas very comfortable, the view of the volcano amazing, good food, and wonderful hot springs to relax in. Not a complaint from us! more

The lovely and comfortable huts are set in a beautiful, well taken care of garden. The hotel has its own hot springs which is a plus since in most hotels of the area you have to go out to look for hot springs. The decoration of the hotel is exquisite. Simple but with great taste. Every detail is observed inside... more

We were looking for a hotel with it's own hot springs so we wouldn't have to join the masses at the public springs. What a great find this hotel was. Individual "casitas" provided ample privacy and the hotel's hot springs were just the ticket. Eliomar and the other front desk gentleman (who speaks about 5 languages) were very helpful and... more

The grounds and cabins are fabulous: great views of the volcano, a nice hot spring in the grounds (in addition to a swimming pool), and very nice cabins for the price. Food is good with some highlights (breakfast and the quesadillas!). They have about 20 rooms in total. We were in room 17 and the wireless internet signal didn't reach... more

My wife and I stayed here and several other places on our Honeymoon. We had several very bad experiences while we were in the country, but let me tell you, staying here almost completely made up for it. This hotel is close to town in case you need internet or to go shopping. It is close to the hot springs,... more

My husband and I and two friends spent 8 days in Costa Rica. We stayed a the swanky Mariott Los Suenos and then one really BAD place for one night in between...then we arrived at the Silencio. The staff is beyond excellent - Eliomar and Umberto were beyond helpful. All 4 of us could not rave enough. The rooms were... more

My husbad and I stayed here for 3 nights (in June 2007) and it was absolutely wonderful!!! The "Goods": - the grounds were beautiful. My boyfriend an I absolutely loved this place. It sets perfectly in the scenery, the chalets are romantic and cared in every detail with breathtaking views of the volcano (we would wake up at 5am just to take pictures!). Breakfast was fantastic served in a gazebo set in a perfect garden just by the pool. The owner was very nice... more
