We started our Costa Rica adventure in Arenal. We flew into San Jose and had probably the scariest drive of my life up the mountain, in THICK fog, to our resort but once we got there we were beyond happy. Our "hut" was spacious and private. The entire time we stayed there (3 nights/4 days) we were able to enjoy... More

This hotel is my favorite place to stay ever! We took advantage of the 7 or so natural hot springs. During our 4 day stay, my girls (ages 10,15) got mud massages and I had the complimentary facial and a back massage. We milked the cow, collected the eggs and made cheese with the milk. Fernando is an expert cheese... More

We were in Costa Rica for a week in March, and stayed in 4 different hotels in various cities. We stayed 2 nights at El Silencio and it was my absolute favorite. The grounds are lovely. The cottage was beautiful. The staff is probably the most helpful, kind and friendly hotel staff that I have ever encountered. They have natural... More

Wow- I miss our time at the Hotel Silencio del Campo and would DEFINITELY stay there again! The staff is amazing and helped us with with so much - booking tours, advice on great restaurants, all while being so friendly and fun! At check-in we were greeted with awesome Fruit Punch Smoothies, given a gift of a complimentary facial that... More

This hotel has a lot going for it - and should be on everyone's shortlist of options in La Fortuna. The hot springs are fantastic, the staff friendly and efficient, the rooms spacious and comfortable. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. You can't find a better location to base your excursions from. Even at capacity - it isn't crowded.... More

This property is to beautiful to accurately describe in a Tripadvisor review. One truly has to experience to appreciate it. From the lush gardens to the hot springs and the quaint cabin-like rooms, it is my picture of paradise. The only negative point I could possibly make regarding the scenery is about the ugly monstrosity of a hotel next door.... More

You need to stay in this paradise to understand. The surroundings are unbelievable. Many types of flowers, trees, bushes, greens etc... All arranged like in art show. Beautiful pond with ducks, several hot springs with small waterfalls, and in between nestle the cabins- large and comfi. But the best of the best is the SPA- unique! A must! Never had... More

We were wowed from our first moment at Silencio- from the lovely, spacious and comfortable cabins to the beautiful surroundings, to the friendly and helpful staff and the amazing hot springs! These were incredible; there were three different hot springs of varying temperatures plus a jacuzzi and cool water spring so that there was no need to pay for the... More

This was our first stop in Costa Rica for a three night stay. This was a great way to enjoy what Costa Rica has to offer with lovely vegetation, animals, birds, well kept grounds. The hot springs were so relaxing and enjoyable in a beautiful setting. The breakfast that was included and the restaurant meals were very good. The room... More
