Hotel is located about 3km outside of La Fortuna (at the main road), Couldn't close the door as well as the windows propper. The mattress was killing me. The bad room was not even worth to discuss - toilet was a black hole which kept us awake half a night after it flushed, shower was gross as was the sink.... More

We struggled 1 hour in the darkness to find the hotel, becaue there were no visible signs at the main street, even the gps rejected the given address. Finally arrived at the hotel there was only complete darkness and nobody there. We got lucky to find a neighbour, who was so kind to call the hotel owner, that instantly admitted... More

Staff is great and friendly. The hotel is small only has 10 rooms. Sparse amenities. No pool. Great breakfast, offers American and tico breakfast. Room has AC and free wifi. Takes about $5 dollars to get to town on a taxi. Great place to stay while in arenal. Economical and friendly. Away from hustle and bustle.

There are ten different sized rooms. The most attractive are the ones with the view of the pointy top of the Arenal volcano, from which lava flows quite frequently. I had no such luck, for the volcano was inactive for a few weeks, at the time of my stay... or maybe I still was lucky, because years ago an eruption... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in early April and interacted almost exclusively with Gretal, who helped us with everything from check in to arranging cabs to breakfast. Booking.com is not to be relied on - when we arrived, Jardines Arenal Lodge did not have our reservation and we initially were going to have to change places for the third... More

I recently stayed here for two nights and had a nice experience. The rooms are very economical and the staff friendly. The owner Hernan lives on the property along with his family. The hotel is run by Gretl his assistant. She was very attentive and assisted with booking reservations for tours during the day. The room was facing the eating... More

The exterior of this hotel and its location were quite nice. I stayed there for one night and had a single room. The toilet did not flush and the only window was stuck in the closed position. It was a warm night, and I would have liked the fresh air. Since I was only there for one night, I didn't... More

I booked two nights at this hotel and the staff is very friendly. The owner and assistant were very patient and try to accommodate my needs and questions. the internet worked at times from my room, but not a very great signal. the best signal is in the common area. Not sure how to work the hot water so I... More

Good location, only a short drive to La Fortuna. Clean, spacious with really comfortable bed and nice friendly staff. Plenty of parking and decent breakfast. Very relaxing place and good value for money. The shower was very weak and it took long time for the water to get warm (not warm enough). Internet worked only in the breakfast area.

My family and I recently stayed at Jardines Arenal for a week. If you are tired of city life and you love nature, this is the best location. We had a large room with a spectacular volcano view. The breakfast in the morning is a choice between a typical Costa-Rican dish and American Breakfast. We didn't rent a car, and... More
