My two friends and I stayed at the Arenal Springs Resort on the second night of our seven night visit to Costa Rica. As you can tell from the traveler photos, the hotel offers little stand alone suites for each of its hotel guests. The rooms are gorgeous with breath taking views of the Arenal Volcano. The hotel is a... More

As a group of 9, we decided that we wanted to have a longer stay so we looked into booking a cheaper property. After looking into it and reading all of the reviews as a group we collectively chose this one. Pros: The grounds are very pleasant and serene. Offered extensive views of the volcano from all of our rooms.... More

So our travel agent Magaly put us here and although you don't get to see the lava flow any more since the active portion moved to the other side it's still a pretty majestic view of Arenal. The buildings are all duplexes and set back from each other so you can see the volcano pretty easily. We only ate breakfast... More

We recently stayed at the resort - its was very nice. The rooms were clean, but a little small. We had great views of the Volcano almost each dday - perhaps we were lucky. The hotel is NOT facing the side of the volcano were you can see lava - those hotels are around the far side - another 15... More

Nice, large property, with separate duplexes spread out over a large area. Restaurant open air with good food at reasonable prices was very nice. Hotel told us they have a "Jacuzzi" but they have no hot tub or Jacuzzi. Very nice pool area with swim up bar, though water too cold and no one was in pool. Lobby and staff... More

The staff was helpful and the hotel had very nice views of the Volcano. However, the views were of the side without much active lava flow, but we did get to see a clear puff of smoke and ash for a few minutes. Volcano was in the clouds for most of our visit. The pool was pleasant and the room... More

We were at the Arenal Springs as part of a Caravan Tour, and it was one of the two best hotels of the tour. The rooms are spacious, and the rock wall covered with plants in the shower was unique. We had a great view of the volcano and would have been well placed for viewing the lava flow, but... More

We stayed at Arenal Springs Resort as part of a 10-day tour through Caravan Tours. While perfectly fine, it did not match up to the exotic character of our Tortuguera jungle lodge or our Pacific all-inclusive resort. But - it was fine. The resort is located between Tabacon Hot Springs and the village of La Fortuana. When we turned off... More

We were wonderfully surprised after traveling from San Jose over circuitous, although paved, mountain roads; through La Fortuna town; down an unpaved, rutted 1/2 mi. of country lane to see a lush little paradise that is the Arenal Springs Resort. The public areas are all open air, as is common in Costa Rica, and the lobby opens directly out toward... More

There are many hotels around the Arenal Volcano and our travel agent booked us into the Arenal Springs Resort. It was certainly servicable. We were two couples and had an attached bungalow that looked out onto the volcano. The room was fine, nothing fancy but nothing missing either, and clean. The restaurant was also fine, not great. The pool was... More
