This was a gorgeous, and accomodating hotel. The views of the volcano are breathtaking, and waking up to the sounds of the wildlife was so serene. We were greeted with a bottle of wine in our room, and every day a different "towel sculpture" on our bed. The hot springs were so relaxing and romantic, the complimentary breakfasts were delicious... More

Dear Lorna, Thank you very much for choosing us as your hotel in la fortuna, as you may already noticed while you stayed with us, that nature is our only neighbor, thats why we are so fortunate to get wild symphonies in the morning and the afternoon. We really hope to se you again someday. Best Regards. Ricardo Araya J More

The Arenal Kioro has the very best location literally at the base of the volcano. However, if you don't mind tired, dated 80's era rooms. They pride themselves on the Jacuzzis in the room. Not a stylish sunken whirlpool tub but a free standing Jacuzzi like you would have on your patio, NOT in your hotel room, tacky vinyl cover... More

I staid at this hotel 3 weeks ago! This hotel was obsoletely amazing! The room was huge, two double queen beds and a mini sofa/bed. There was me my aunt, mother and twin 7 years old sons and all fit comfortable in one room. The room had working AC, and beautiful view to the volcano and garden! The room didn't... More

In two words, that's all what this hotel possesses, except the big territory. The rooms are big, but neither comfortable, nor beautiful; the interiors of the rooms, restaurant an lobby are neutral, I will withhold commenting about the food. Not my place.

3 unforgetable days in this wonderful place, the room, the view, the garden, the spa, the hot springs, the kind and professionel service. Everything was fine. And the two activities/tours, we chosed, very interesting as well.

The service at this hotel was great, all of the staff, from the room maid to the room service, or maintenance (at one point our balcony door wouldn't open and we needed them to come fix it) we're super quick and helpful. We had an awesome spa pool in our room, which on top of the hot pools and the... More

This resort was beautiful and clean, and the service was great. The kids had a great time in the hot spring pools. For our family though, the location was not optimal. We had to take a cab into town, or go on their shuttle, but the shuttle service was limited, and it often took the cab a while to get... More

The highlights of Arenal Kioro were certainly the breathtaking view of the Volcán Arenal from our balcony and unwinding in the hot springs on the property. Our room was full of character with open floor plan, high vaulted ceilings, rain forest shower, and personal jacuzzi; not to mention the crystal clear view of the entire volcano right from our bed... During a Nikon Mentor Series trek to Costa Rica we stayed here and were impressed with the view of the volcano and the grounds surrounding the hotel. There is a small pond and waterfall where we saw Toucans and a Kingfisher. We had an excellent buffet breakfast each morning and if you stop by at the coffee bar you can... More

We only spent a couple of days in the Arenal area, but we were so glad we chose Kioro as our resting place. The grounds are gorgeous, the breakfast buffet was tasty, the hot springs (both on site and off) were relaxing, and the room was huge and comfortable. The only part that was disappointing was dinner, but we were... More
