The view of Arenal volcano from the room was so incredible it was almost surreal. The rooms are quite spacious – with a private area for one sleeper – perfect for a family of four with an older boy and a younger girl. My son had an entire private area of his own. The shower was gorgeous and modern, the... more

Arenal Kioro was suggested to me by some friends. It is really the place to go if you want to enjoy at night the mountain top glowing red from the comfort of your bed. The restaurant has lots of options and the food is quite good. The gardens are very nice, lush and colorful, just what you would expect from... more

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The grounds are beautiful and the view of the volcano is AWESOME. The room was perfect for a romantic get away. The spa in the room was perfect. So quiet, you could hear a pin drop. I would go back in a heart beat! more

Stayed 2 nights while visiting the Arenal area. The hotel has beautiful grounds with lovely plants and flowers. It is definitely more suited for adults, honeymooners or those with kids under 3 years old (baby pool available). We went with our 2 teenage sons and they were fine since we spent the 2 days white water rafting and rapelling. The... more

Spent 3 nights of my honeymoon here and loved this hotel. The room is faultless, with large bed facing big windows with excellent view of the Arenal volcano. The room was spacious with a private hot tub. The gardens of the hotel are lovely and have their own hot springs. I believe that there are other hot springs with bigger... more

After leaving the Springs Spa resort and arriving here, we were a bit dissapointed. This is a tired hotel that has fantastic service. It is very tired and dated. The food was fantastic though!!!!! If you are a couple looking for romance, then this is the spot for you. We happen to be very outgoing, and love people. They have... more

This hotel is absolutely fabulous! The view from the full wall of windows of the volcano is really incredible. The sun shone in as we woke up to the site of the erupting volcano. The rooms are lovely - every one has the same view and amenities including a hot tub in the room which we never used because of... more

This hotel is absolutely awesome. When you arrive you feel like their special guests with the welcome drinks and greetings. It is like they had been waiting for you all day! The staff was very helpful and accomodating, answering all questions that we had. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and well kept. I can't imagine a more beautiful hotel.... more

As you drive up to the hotel you are first greeted by the sign...don't be put off...the hotel is more modern and much nicer than a 1960's motel that the sign portrays! We had a wonderful warm welcome at the hotel with check in happening on a nice comfy sofa with a complimentary glass of wine. We were then taken... more

We recently spent 4 nights at the Kioro with our 15 year old daughter and 11 year old son. The hotel looks exactly like the brochures - there are no surprises here. The room (501) was exactly as pictured on the web and the brochures. The grounds are magnificent. The staff is exceptionally friendly and everything is extremely clean. The... more
