Good value for the money. All hotel rooms face the volcano, with big picture-windows, but clouds covered the view both days we were there. The front desk people did say they'd call in the middle of the night if we wanted if it was erupting, which I thought was a nice touch. The room had 2 double beds, the bathroom... More

We spent 3 nights at the Volcano Inn and everything was just perfect... We had the private room #8 which had an amazing view of the volcano... We were very lucky: no clouds and non stop eruptions while we were there... having a drink at night on your private terrasse watching the lava going down was an experience that words... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel March 18 and 19, 2007. The entire process was painless, the Cabina we stayed in was very clean, the A/C worked great and the staff was excellent (as a bonus the room had a fridge which was NOT typical for the other hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica). The food in... More

So we actually did not get to stay in this hotel. We originally booked two nights in this property based of the many excellent reviews. There was a change of our trip plan that we had to cancel the first night. They were quick in refunding the first night (they pre-charged both nights). When we arrived, however, the receptionists asked... More

We booked 4 days here to celebrate our anniversary. (March, 2007) It exceeded our expectations in every way. We stayed in the Jacuzzi Suite, which faced the volcano. We could lie in bed and look out at the changing light and see smoke drift from it. The grounds are lush, the room was immaculate, spacious, and very private, with a... More

I thought the Arenal Volcano Inn and grounds were quite lovely. I liked the simplicity of the rooms. The rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely helpful with anything that we needed. The breakfast buffet was delicious and we loved having the parrot sitting in the tree watching us. We at pizza at the restaurant one night and... More

Our hotel room was perfectly clean, very spacious and had a great view: Volcano Arenal. When it is visible.... unfortunately weren't lucky but that's all part of the game. TIp: have dinner or lunch at the Pizza restaurant of the hotel. I had one of my best pizzas ever! We loved to stay there.

I stayed here for 3 nights in February in cabin 5. All of the rooms are cabins on the hill except for the first 4 rooms, which are attached and are in front of the pool. They'd probably be good for families with children. The cabins were clean, had a TV, A/C, refrigerator, coffee maker, and spacious well lit bathroom.... More

This hotel is clean, quiet, and beautiful. The staff is wonderful (especially the waiter Octavio) and helpful. Great veiws of the volcano at night. There is, however, one small (big?) problem. The beds are HORRIBLE. You can feel every spring coming through the mattress and it wil squeek every time you make the slightest move. One would expect better beds... More

We stayed here for three nights and loved it. The views of the volcano were great. The accomodations were beautiful, clean and spacious. Sitting on the chairs in front of our unit and looking over the resort to the volcano was very peaceful. The grounds were very well maintained and beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The food... More
