This was our first stop during our trip to Costa Rica and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel is approximately 18 km outside of La Fortuna, so depending on what you are looking for, keep that in mind. However, the hotel has everything you need; excellent food, a good bar, pool, hot tub, and an extremely friendly staff that... More

Very very remote. Great for couples. Not to great for friends traveling. There is no internet service or phone service. No phones in the room and our t.v didn't work either. Godd thing we brought books and the good ol' iPod. Dirt road to town takes about 15 min. Should not be traveled at night. The water in room would... More

My 17 year old daughter, husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cabin 28 at Linda Vista. The privacy was so wonderful and the tile porch facing the volcano and the lake was a pure delight. We had the great fortune to watch holler monkeys play in the trees from our kitchen window...such a special and rare treat! (Ana,... More

We spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel. The hotel is situated on a hill by the lake and with views of the volcano from both the restaurant and some of the rooms. The hotel staff are all friendly and willing to assist in anyway. The pool and Jacuzzi were clean and such a pretty addition to the hotel. We... More

We spent one night at Hotel Linda Vista del Norte and were pretty impressed. We were greeted by the manager of reception who was very knowlegable and helpful. The staff all seemed pleasant and professional. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the volcano. The restaurant had average food, although our son (8 years old)... More

My wife and I have been to this hotel two times now, and we have enjoyed it both times. The view is absolutely amazing, and the rooms were very comfortable. We loved spending time time at the pool enjoying the view of the volcano and the lake. The food at the restaurant was very good... the dinners were a bit... More

We were there for just one night and wish we had spent more time as the views were amazing, both of the Volcano and of the Lake. Our room was simple but had everything we needed and the restaurant provided good dinner and breakfast meals. More

We slept in junior suites. Room and bathroom were somewhat outdated, but man ! what a view. Friendly staff, small but nice swimming pool, pitty there weren't that much sunbeds. Breakfast was good and fresh. Dinner was fine at reasonable prices. Regrettable that the volcano "slept" More

The sweeping scenes of both Arenal volcano and lake are hard to beat from this perfectly-placed hotel. It is a distance from attractions, so anticipate a $40 or $50 fee every time you wish to transport to the park or hanging bridges, etc., Else - arrange for a car either on arrival in the country or for a few days...
