Through Expedia we booked and paid for our private room for a 3 night stay over 3 months before our trip and when we arrived at the desk the clerk was definitely surprised to see us and generally did not make an effort to welcome us. Instead of welcoming us, he interrogated us about having a reservation, if we've paid... More

This place is a very nice place to relax if you're on a tight budget. I think a bed in a dorm room costs $10-15 per night. The attached open-air restaurant was a nice plus. They have a great pool with swim-up bar. They played pop music from around the world...a little loud at times, but it's a hostel and... More

So I've stayed at a lot of hostels in my travels, but this one is definately at the lower end of the spectrum in my mind. A lot of my issues were with the other folks the hostel attracted/. I know it's a cheap bed and what else but no sleep should I expect, but this was a let down... More

This is a fun place to stay if you are looking for dorm style rooms! The rooms are clean and comfortable, with hot water, and many of them with A/C. It is a great place to meet people and to hang out around the pool or in the bar/restaurant area. The staff was average, and the tours are way overpriced,... More

This was the first time we had stayed at a hostel so I wasn't sure what to expect. We were very happy with everything this hostel had to offer. We rented private rooms, the beds were only doubles but they were clean and fairly comfortable and the a/c worked well. The pool was fantastic and the restaraunt/bar was perfect. The... More

This hostel is more like a hotel, I guess that is why they call it a 5 star hostel. We stayed in Room 7, however there are not 7 rooms here, there are a few private rooms, maybe 3 and maybe 3 or four dorm rooms with 8 bed´s per room. There is a pool and a bar. The room... More

Needless to say, this is a beautiful spot. The immaculate pool and clean rooms are a happy resting place after a long day of hiking/rafting/spaaing. The staff was very helpful and the common areas are comfortable and fun. Perhaps most importantly, the shower was hot and had plenty of water pressure. Highly recommended.

Me and my friend arrived following the lonely planet high recomandation. We arrived at early evening and there was no room but in the tents. At first impresion it looked very nice and clean. So far so good...but then we started to spend some time there..very not pura vida vibe!!! It felt like an army boot camp. We couldnt sleep... More
