My husband, son and I spent 2 nights at the Lost Iguana hotel. We stayed in one of their celebrity suites. It was the classiest, most beautiful room I've ever stayed in, and I travel a lot. It's connection to the volcano and beautiful surrounding grounds, the patio, the hot tub outside, the archtiecuture, were all classy and natural. The... More

Our room looked out right into a rain forest! We could hear howler monkeys and see the volcano Arenal. We saw the volcano let out a "puff" cloud one morning. The outdoor bathtub and shower are very unique and soothing. The young lady Emily who helped us plan excursions was wonderful. The restaurant was good and staff friendly. The spa... More

I'd recommend this hotel (and have) to friends and family...and even strangers at the airport! The Lost Iguana is an amazing resort, beautiful and tranquil, with a wide range of activities nearby. The best part about the Lost Iguana is that our room, and every other room, has a patio or balcony that looks out across the rain forest, hills,... More

We stayed in the two bedroom Celebrity Villas. It is up a very steep hill but we didn't mind the exercise walking up it many times a day. The Villas had amazing view of the volcano from every room. We sure enjoyed our time out on our deck. We were lucky to see the volcano quite abit our 5 days... More

I am a workaholic who tends to have trouble letting go of work when I go on vacation. The first day at Lost Iguana, I fell asleep early and slept soundly for 10 hours. Unheard of for me! I was able to sleep well the entire trip. The resort is breath-taking. It's designed well, so that all of the rooms... More

We just returned from Costa Rica and our stay at the Lost Iguana and all I can say is "amazing"! The resort is absolutely stunning with beautiful, comfortable rooms that somehow manage to combine luxurious with rustic. We stayed in room 6 and had an outdoor hot tub on our balcony, which faced (as all the rooms do) the volcano.... More

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The only problem we had was that we paid for a lava view room, but due to weather conditions the lava was not viewable.

We stayed at the Lost Iguana for 5 days and we give it a 5 star rating. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We liked them very much. We woke up every morning at 5:00am to watch the sun rise and to hike the trail located on site. Some of our activities during our stay were very close in... More

We stayed in the casita (the largest accommodation on the property) for 3 nights. My husband, myself and my daughter were traveling with another couple. We had a stunning view of the Arenal Volcano and loved hiking the rainforest the property is built into. We saw frogs, bats, monkeys and a herd of javelina while we were there. Second bedroom... My husband and I stayed at the Lost Iguana Resort for 4 nights in June 2010. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. The natural beauty of the rain forest is incredible. I was quite surprised about how few times we were bitten by mosquitoes considering the natural surroundings of the hotel.... More
