My husband and I absolutely loved♡ this hotel. This was our 1st trip to Costa Rica and we just can't wait to revisit this little piece of heaven on earth once again. We booked a suite and the room is very spacious, with an amazing view to the Arenal volcano(breathtaking to watch the sunrise with the volcano on the background), and... A wonderful resort. Sympathetically designed to blend in with the surrounding jungle. Accommodation very well spread out so it is great for privacy. Stunning views of the volcano. One of the the most evocative memories of the holiday was waking up at 5 in the morning and watching the sun rise over the volcano. A wild life spotters paradise. so... More

We (couple with two sons ages 13 and 16) spent four nights at the Lost Iguana. Rather than booking a villa, I booked a luxury suite and a standard room side by side so that all of us would have our own porch view of the volcano. These rooms were perfect for us. My husband and I felt like we... More

The Lost Iguana is tucked into the rain forest, near Lake Arenal and practically under the Arenal Volcano. We had a room on the bottom of two floors and every morning, I could take my cup of coffee out to the patio and hear the many birds calling to each other, watch a hummingbird visit the flowers and see the... We stayed three nights in a two-bedroom suit at the top/back of the resort. The room was large with pretty, slightly worn furnishings. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable and not enough seating. the bed was very comfortable and clean. We had a large, covered porch on the second floor with a jacuzzi, lots of rocking chairs and of course... More

My family (myself, my wife and our 12-year old son) just returned from a fabulous 5-night stay at Lost Iguana! We arrived after a 3 hour van ride (through Platinum Tours, recommended by the resort) from SJO, and were given a second story luxury king suite (I had requested first floor to enjoy the outdoor shower everyone seemed to rave... We spent 3 nights at the Lost Iguana Resort and Spa as part of our Costa Rican honeymoon. We truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located about 20 minutes west of La Fortuna, so renting a car is highly suggested. The resort itself is beautiful with little paths crossing though the lush patches of vegetation our room to the... More

Excellent location away from town and totally immersive experience of the rain forest. The volcano is in full view of the resort. Amazing birds and greenery all around. Rooms are log cabin style and very cool. Restaurant serves excellent food...

The property spreads out over a lush forest area that has lots of animals and beautiful plants. The views from practically anywhere are the property were amazing. We upgraded to the king luxury suite which was absolutely beautiful. The staff was so attentive. I had asked earlier in the day how I could get some batteries for my camera since... More
