My husband and I spent three nights here as part of our honeymoon, and we are pleased with our choice. When it wasn't raining, we had a fantastic view of the volcano and the room was really nice. The first morning we woke up to a bird in our room which was startling... I guess the windows in the bathroom... More

Lost Iguana was the highlight of our 3-week trip to Costa Rica. It was our first trip to the country. After traveling around and staying in hotels in different destinations (at much higher prices), Lost Iguana was the place I'll remember most and will visit again. The views from our room were incredible...Arenal and a host of tropical plants right... More

Just back from a week in Costa Rica, our family stayed at this resort. I really enjoyed it, it's not a huge place but set in the middle of the rain forest with an excellent view of the volcano. It's especially relaxing at night and you can easily fall asleep while listening the sound of the rainforest. We had an... More

My fiancé and I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel wasn't fully booked so they upgraded us to one of the villas!! Wow, the views were amazing and the outdoor shower was awesome! There was a jacuzzi on the patio with 2 rocking chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. I highly recommend it. The staff was... More

Very relaxing and secluded. Great on site hiking trails. Food was good, drinks were delicious. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. One small criticism...we were surprised that the bar was playing country music. We were hoping for something more local. Overall it was a great stay with an awesome view of the volcano.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I am sorry about the bar music. That was a CD that we removed after hearing the bar tender was playing Country music. We only play latin music at the bar. Pura Vida, Elaine Knight More

This beautiful resort is carefully integrated into the surrounding rainforest and hillside to provide a luxurious setting with minimal impact on the landscape. The grounds are lush and beautiful with winding trails throughout the forest that provide for surprise encounters with wildlife...everything from Tent Making Bats to Macaws. The rooms are quite comfortable and boast balconies with spectacular views of... More

My wife and I loved the place and will go back, probably next year. The room was nice with a fantastic patio surrounded by the rain forest with all kinds of sounds, nice landscaping and a great view of the volcano. The hotel staff was excellent and the food was great. After the first day of having breakfast, lunch and... More

My wife and I stayed in the Lost Iguana for a weekend during our recent visit to Costa Rica and we loved it! We were on a 2nd floor room and had an amazing view of the volcano from our bed. Although we stayed during the rainy season, there were only a few hours a day when we could not... More
