The place was amazing. Everything was Clean and working well. The staff was kind and helpfull. You can relax there or socialize or have some fun in common area, which has everything you need. The place is a little outside, which I liked very much, but it is just an easy walk to get to the centre and everything else.

Very friendly staff, food and groceries nearby close enough to La Fortuna centre to make it easy to get to but far away enough to make it nice and quiet. Wildlife close by and activities to do in the hostel, Bachata dancing lessons, a gym, table tennis and a basket ball hoop.

This is an awesome place to stay. I extended my stay after staying a couple of nights as planned. Beds are comfortable, entire property is very well maintained and cleaned. I had to take online conference while there and used their work area - no issues at all. Location is great as well - only about 5 mins walk from the restaurants and shops. Hammocks by the water provide a perfectly soothing and relaxing vibe. Every person working here is very friendly and helpful.I had plenty of questions about what to do, where to go etc and Natalia recommended me several things which turned out to be fantastic. She also recommended me local snacks and candies to try. Gonzalo and everyone in the staff were always willing to help and share any information that I needed. I'd love to stay here again whenever I'm in la fortuna :).

Rios santa hostel it's a perfect place for solo backpackers, I've met so many people around the world. I felt safe and the beds are comfortable, there's AC and a small fan on each bed. Kitchen has plenty of space and utilities. The outdoor space is great to eat meals and chill out. I've walked from the bus station 15 minutes. It's 10 minutes from the the town center where there's plenty of restaurants. Definitely recommend it.

The cleanest hostel I've ever seen. Really well equipped and large kitchen. We stayed in a 5 person room with an ensuite bathroom and air-conditioning. Best thing about this place is the relaxed atmosphere. Lots of hammocks. They have converted 1 dorm to a co-worker location with its own router. Staff whilst we were there were great.

I stayed in a shared room at the hostel and really enjoyed my time there. It's run by really nice people and the vibe is fantastic. When I left they were almost done with a lovely open yoga space by the river that I'm sure turned out great. They're also an easy walk into town and are happy to give recommendations on what to do, where to eat, etc. My only suggestions to them are to put out some recycling bins and to offer a female-only dorm as an option. Gracias a todos!

Hotel Rio Danta is located next to the most beautiful flowing creek, so tranquil to listen to the flowing water. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful, and our children played happily with their little boy. Clean rooms with a bar fridge,TV, microwave, shower, toilet and wifi. Very affordable and comfortable hotel for my family and I. The room had 2 double beds, so comfortabley fit 2 adults and 2 children. Super beautiful shared balcony/chill area overlooking the creek. Lovely typical breakfast and amazing coffee included. Would definitely come back for sure. Thanks for an amazing experience Hotel Rio Danta. Pura Vida

Don't visit this place for the shower, the bed, the quite room or the breakfast. Not if you're willing to pay $75 a night for an okayish stay, you'll meet one of the nicest hosts you'll come across in Costa Rica.

Super cosy hostel with lovely host. Spacious rooms with own bathroom and access from the outside, no need to go through reception. Nice outside social area. They provide all sorts of tours around. Typical breakfast is included- expect rice with beans, scramble eggs and toast and of course amazing coffee. They clean your rooms every day so be aware of that (quite unusual for hostels). Good wifi connection in the rooms. Definitely recommend it!

The staff checked us in with no problem. I guess I was upgraded from a 5 bed dorm to a room with 2 beds. I have one more night here, so if they cram 4 more people in this room, I may need to change my rating. The previous night I stayed in a pretty dirty hotel which was right next to a fairgrounds blasting music until 1AM, so by comparison this is a welcome respite. Very chill and quiet. Pure vida!
