The Volcano Lodge was a wonderful place to stay. The service was great, and the staff was bilingual and helpful at giving directions and making reservations for things to do in the area. Beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean.

We stayed 3 nights recently and were fairly happy with the views and the service at the front desk. The drive to La Fortuna is very short if you have a rental car. The gardens and pool are gorgeous! Two reason we didn't rate great: Lots of ants in our room (it is Costa Rica), and for some reason we... More

This was my first stop in Costa Rica after visiting El Salvador and Honduras and what a find it was. I enjoyed it so much, I ended up staying an extra night. Nice quiet gardens and a small hiking trail to get out and stretch your legs. I had a great dinner there and a huge breakfast in the morning.... More

Stayed at this property for four nights with four other people. The gardens around the property were beautiful, the volcano is visible from everywhere you walk, and the rooms were great! Our room came with two double beds, a decent sized bathroom, t.v., and a door to a patio that lead to tropical flowers and a perfect view. We ordered... More

My room had a perfect view of the volcano, which was a dream come true for me. The room was spotless and there was warm water. The front desk people spoke English and were very helpful is setting up a zip line tour for us. The restaurant was very good and the staff was very attentive. I highly recommend the... More

Despite visiting in the rainy season, the weather was very nice except for raining every day around 3 pm. The staff was very helpful for the most part (except they kept telling us to go to Baldi instead of Tabacon, which we listened to, and regretted) and the grounds were gorgeous. Everything was in bloom and very beautiful. Being very... More

This was my favorite hotel in Costa Rica. The property was very peaceful and the gardens were gorgeous. We were greeted by friendly staff and everyone treated us wonderfully while we were there. The jacuzzi with volcano views was the perfect way to relax and enjoy a cocktail. Happy hour prices made the drinks very reasonable. The food was great... More
