I absolutely loved this hotel. Our favorite stay in Costa Rica by far! It has beautiful lush gardens and a spectacular view of the volcano from the room and grounds (when the volcano is visible of course!). They provided great customer service and each day after housecleaning arrived, we'd find the cutest animals folded from our towels. It was so... More

We truly loved this hotel. The rooms were modern and comfortable with A/C, two beds, and a safe. The hotel had a beautiful pool and jacuzzi that we found was a wonderful gathering place during happy hour to share stories and ideas for things to see and do. The restaturant had good food and a decent selection as well as... More

We were lucky enough to have 3 clear days to visit Arenal. From the hotel you can see, hear, and feel the Volcano! Rooms are nice, and clean also with views facing the Volcano. The hotel is located about 5-8 min from La Fortuna and about equal distance to the Arenal Volcano National Park. The staff was very friendly and... More

This was a great hotel! The grounds are amazing, including a small path around the perimeter of the area. It's very well kept and gorgeous. The room itself was perfect for my husband and I. We had a view of the volcano (though it wasn't out while we were there) from bed, and the cute porch. Everything was clean and... More

We stayed at the Volcano Lodge for 2 nights and it was the most relaxing and comfortable place we stayed in Costa Rica. For the price, service, hotel surrounding/location, and quality, Volcano Lodge was spectacular. Room was pretty large and the bed so comfortable. There's a safe in the closet as well so that's a great plus. I was glad... More

The setting and gardens are so beautiful - enjoyed sitting out on the little patio facing the volcano. Unfortunately the cloud didn't lift from the top of the volcano on the 2 nights we were there so never got to see the lava flows, but the garden setting with the colourful plants and hummingbirds was lovely. We took the hotel... More

Spent 2 nights here recently. It rained most of the time and deprived us of the volcano view but enjoyed our stay nevertheless. The grounds which are comprised of large gardens were very well maintained. The room was very comfortable with its own back patio area which I assume were oriented for a nice view of the volcano. The open... More

Volcano Lodge was our 2nd stop on our Costa Rica adventure. K & I stayed 2-nights & enjoyed our stay:^) HOTEL: Check in was a breeze, fast, smooth & freindly. Front desk had many options for tours & adventure. K & I already had a set agenda, so we did not opt for tours thru the hotel. ROOM QUALITY: The... More

My extended family began our Costa Rican adventure by staying at the Volcano Lodge. The lodge was beautiful with incredible flower gardens on the premises. My children ages 11 and 13 and my 9 year old nephew couldn't take enough pictures of the place. There were also beautiful hummingbirds all over the garden flowers. The rooms were large and well...
