This hotel was the bonus of our whole trip. What a place!! Great rooms, good bathrooms, nice views to a cloudy volcano and the most amazing springs. You can use them all day and night, except for 2 hours from 5 to 7am when they clean it. Unfortunately the restaurant is extremely expensive, which I think is the very down... More

Let me start off by saying that I value reviews when planning a trip. I will spend an exorbitant amount of time researching hotels, restaurants and especially experience trips well before I commit to any destination. We just returned from a trip to Costa Rica, and I can’t say enough about this particular location. I’ve traveled to CR in the... More

Pool and spa area was wonderful! Grounds just fabulously landscaped. Back patio of room overlooked Volcano.Bar had Happy hour and shopping was a cabride away about 5-6 USD. Staff did not speak very good english -but attempted to be very accommodating

This hotel has everything you could want for a great price. Most of the rooms have a stunning views of the Volcano with beautiful gardens right outside of your room. The birds are beautiful and plentiful in the gardens. The restaurant has great food and the staff is very friendly. The pool is delightful and even has a swim-up bar.... More

Only stayed two nights in the week of April 6 to 13. Had a nice-sized clean room with its own private hot spring with a fantastic view of the Arenal Volcano. Definitely worth being outside of downtown La Fortuna for the fantastic view and if you're planning to visit Tabacon Hot Springs (5 minute drive). Service and food were good.... More

This hotel is set off a litlle further then than the town and you can almost miss it driving at night, but it was all like the other reviews stated. We stayed from 4/15-4/18 and it was amazing. We just caught the end of there summer season so the hotel was quiet and we pretty much received first rate service.... More

The natural setting with the Arenal volcano in the background, and the beautiful landscaping that was lush and colorful, immediately put us in vacation mode. This was a 40th anniversary trip that took us to four CR cities, and we both decided this was the most beautiful and "tropical". Service was good, as was the food. If we ever return... More

Did not arrive till 2am because of delayed flight and tree blocking only road into town. The hotel staff is at the front desk 24 hrs and had us in the room in no time. Woke up the next morning to find the place had great grounds and the breakfast was perfect. We only stayed one night at Volcano Lodge... More

Volcano Lodge and Springs was a great resort. The room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Be sure to check out their hot springs and pool area. The only thing to note is that it is out of town and you would need to take a cab to the main area of La Fortuna.

We opened our curtains to the amazing sunny view of the volcano and our own private hotspring with waterfall which was surrounded by beautiful flowers and plants with all sorts of different birds coming and going. We were here for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed an extra night or two to relax as we did tours each... More
